The Sharp AQUOS LC-40LX1 is a terrestrial digital High-Definition LCD TV that features Full high-definition (1,920 x 1,080) resolution. It sports a 40-inch (88.6 H x 49.8 V cm; 101.6 cm on the diagonal) TFT (thin-film transistor) active-matrix display with 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio, Vertical: 176°/horizontal 176° viewing angle, internal (white LED) backlight source, speakers with a total of 30 W (7.5 W + 7.5 W + 15 W) power output, and a power consumption of 145 W. It has a standby power consumption of 0.1 W and an annual power consumption of 118 kWh/year. The unit measures 102.1 W x 13.1 D (9.6 at thinnest section) x 62.1 H cm (without stand) and supports HDMI input (3 sets), D5 video input (2 sets), S2 video input, Video input (3 sets), Analog RGB input (with audio input jack), Monitor output (with S2 jack; doubles as video input and recording output jack), headphone output, digital audio output (optical), IrSS infrared receiver and B-CAS card slot. It also supports VHF/UHF antenna input, BS/CS110° antenna input, telephone line (2,400 bps), LAN (10Base-T/100Base-TX), and a controller (RS232C). Features

The Sharp AQUOS LC-40LX1 features a contrast of 2,000,000:1, and is touted to have the lowest level of energy consumption (reduced by more than 30% compared to predecessor GX Series). It comes with AQUOS High-Picture-Quality Master Engine and Preferred Image Sensor for automatically adjusting to viewers’ preferred image and sound settings and features sound with ARSS six-speaker system with duo bass sub-woofer (available on 60V/52V/46V-inch models). The Sharp AQUOS LC-40LX1 also features AQUOS Familink II which links the functions of the AQUOS and peripheral devices for enhanced user-friendliness. The panel incorporates Sharp’s proprietary UV2A photo-alignment technology for bright whites and extremely deep blacks; and the LED backlight offers control of the light output. Another features is the Preferred Image Sensor that adjusts the screen brightness to room viewing environment and the on-screen content; as well as automatically adjusts image and sound quality to the viewers’ personal preferences.
