Not a bad TV.

Summary: Bought it refurbished for a great price and with warranty coverage and I'm satisfied with the purchase. Pros: Lots of inputs and options. Good brightness controls. Nice sharp image, even when upscalling from 720p. Had no issue getting it online to pull a firmware update over the Internet (and then promptly disconnected it again). Cons: The dynamic brightness/contrast/whatever feature was pretty horrible on mine.
Summary: Bought this TV brand new from a small town shop for 1200 back in sep of 2011, (i know i could of got it for cheaper but i like to support small local shops) i came from a 2009 model mitsubishi dlp WD 60737 and i love the difference huge upgrade from the dlp. i mainly use this tv for gaming on my xbox 360, and the games look really good.
Summary: I now own 4 Sharp LCD TVs. This is after years of consecutive Sony purchases - and for record, they were all awesome. I switched to Sharp for the price/value ratio which I thought was better. The one thing I do not like about this TV is that unlike my prior TVs, this one doesn't work well with my Comcast remote. Before I had that one remote able to turn on, off or control volume (including mute) and channels. I have the other remotes but no real need for them.
Summary: The quality of the unit and the picture is very good. The only complaint that I have is the sound quality. The sound does not appear loud enough and no matter which setting I select the sound is lacking richness. On the other hand the picture is extremely good and it gives a 3D appearance. The auto-setup is very easy and quick.
Summary: I agree with most of the reviews on here, this TV does have a great picture, especially with x box 360 or ps3. However, what a lot of people probably don't notice is that when the screen is totally black, or during a very dark scene in a movie, you can actually see the light from the edge LED's, which can become very annoying.
Summary: So far Im happy with this LCD TV. Color is incredible. The yellow in the color spectrum really makes a difference. Its very sleek and very thin. I dont use the TV's speakers so I cant comment on the sound. The only negative about this TV is the internet connection. It only connects to the internet via a Ethernet connection. I had to spend another $75 on a Ethernet bridge to get it to connect to my wifi.
