Excellent picture - poor build quality

Robert Keith, Amazon
28 December 2011
  • Summary: Firstly - the picture is the best I have seen in a TV of this class. By far. I bought this TV in April 2011. It was new in a sealed box. Immediately I set it up on its stand I noticed that it rattled during low pitched sounds. A few weeks later I hung it on a wall bracket. As I was removing the stand, two screws fell out of the back. I tried to put them back and they would not stay in. I checked all of the screws around the edges at the back.

Sound broken when arrived....once repaired, GREAT

  • Summary: The Sharpe TV arrived quickly along with the additional items I ordered. Unfortunatly the Sound Board was bad. The local repair company Sharp used was VERY POOR, and it was 2 weeks until it was working. SHARP was wonderful in trying to solve our problem and offered several solutions, all ended up taking the extended lenghth of time. They also extended our warranty free of charge for six months for our inconvenience. Good Company.

Good but...

john vincennes, Amazon
31 July 2010
  • Summary: Everything about the screen is good except for the sound. No matter how loud you make it, it is still hard to understand some speech. Its like teh speakers are mounted in teh back or something. Its really hard to figure out. I had to turn up the bass treble and mids to compensate-- and its still not very good. Its really too bad because at the store you're looking at pic quality and assume the sound will be fine. So we must now get a sound system. Dammit!!

Sharp Aquos LC-46LE810UN featuring Quad Picture Technology. Is this technology too ahead of its time?

12 July 2010
  • Summary: Some work still needs to be done to perfect the technology, but at least technology advances are being made.
  • Pros: Outstanding picture quality; unbelievable Sharp customer service; interactive Internet features
  • Cons: picture appears unnaturally sped up at times; tweaking settings can be intimidating; no wireless connections
