Summary: im still happy that im ready for the future when timewarner goes 4k. goin down to 2k didnt seem to look worse....im ok with 2k tv and 4k pics in the future
Pros: It looks amazing to see 4k in 30 fps vids...its best at 2k or 1080p. I put in blurray movie avatar and it looks impressive. played call of duty at 1600x900 on pc no problem. I put in xbox 360 and was impressed. went to espn preview and it looked sweet. way better than cable espn. i need to xbox 3...
Cons: 4k at 60 fps is a no go. choppy. if i was rich id get the $700 60hz tv... timewarner looks like 480i, i went to online timewarner and it looked 720-1080i.
Summary: I was wanting this baby for a few weeks and it works pretty well. i plugged it in to xbox 360 and looked good,1080p. then i went into computer and it was 4k....choppy at 4k and 60 frames videos. it looked good if you find 4k 30 frames a sec vids. im still happy even though 4k is choppy..

Summary: I just got this TV in March 2015. I was looking @ the 4k TV's that were on display @ the stores and was amazed by there sharpness. For the money I grabbed up this TV. I was disappointed that the picture was not close to the clear display at the tv store.

New SE39UY04 2014 model has problems with 4K HDMI -- old 2013 ones are fine
Clive McCarthy, Amazon
22 February 2015
Summary: I have five 2013 SE39UY04 displays that work fine. I have two 2014 SE39UY04 displays that do not. They do not recognize a 4K HDMI signal from an Intel computer which the 2013 models do. I am using the same computers and the same cable for the 2014 models as I use for the 2013 models.
Summary: I first bought this for a personal flight simulator, but have since bought one for my primary monitor at work. 10 hrs a day in front of it and I love everything about it. Tweak settings right and the picture is better than the two 1080p monitors I have side by side.
Summary: This TV was easy to setup and install. I have it hooked up to an air antenna, and the UHD image is excellent. To those who criticize its use as a monitor, I remind them that their laptops' video output must support UHD - otherwise it will resolve to max VGA. This is an excellent bargain.
Summary: Not the best I ever had, but when coupled with the UHD upgrade cable a nice picture. One thing to consider is not all broadcast platforms provide the refresh rates that allow signals to be upgraded. Directv for instance appears to broadcast at 1080i.
