Summary: While the TV has a nice picture/contrast, the build quality of the internal boards/electronics leaves much to be desired. Bought this unit (from another retailer) and it lasted about a year with moderate daily use. Now, No power, no lights, no anything. After doing a few searches, seems this is more than common problem with this model. I have NEVER had a TV that only lasted a year!
Summary: Average picture, very slow response remote control. Picture went out in 8 months (common w/ Seiki). After over 1 1/2 months, emails, and 10 hours of being on hold and conversations w/ Seiki Customer Support, I am still waiting on them to process and ship my replacement.(though I have been told many times they are waiting on UPS...not true!) A simple search on online I found that many others have an identical experience with the product and company.
Summary: The picture on this display is excellent and I haven't noticed a single dead pixel. Haven't had any of the problems other people talked about. Picked this up when it was 170 and don't regret it a bit.
Summary: This tv would be ok for a guess bedroom or garage. If you are buying it for a bedroom or living room save your money. The remote is really bad and the sound is also poor quality. It crackles a good portion of the time. The price is right for a tv you aren't going to use very much but I would not recommend for a everyday tv.
Summary: I'm TICKED...This was purchased as a birthday gift, and specifically chose this LCD TV for the "fact" it had an svideo connection. Before the "HD" craze, I wired my house for svideo...amplifiers and converters to accommodate any television in a given room. True, I needed to invest in converters to upscale or downscale the image, but I have a pretty reliable system. The point here was that the necessary hardware was integrated into this unit..YES! One less converter...NO!
Summary: OMG SEIKI just seems to screw everyone over and i wish i had read the reveiws before i bought the tv. I am having the same issue with the manufacture as the first reveiw up top. NEVER AGAIN AM I GOING TO BUY A SEIKI TV!!!! they are s*** tv made poorly and the customer service sucks. they just keep telling you to call back. I think i will go to walmart and buy a decent sized SONY tv instead of waiting on the seiki. then if mine ever shows back up, I think i will smash it.
Summary: The TV was dead on arrival; no picture, no sound. I ordered this item for a friend because she does not have an Amazon account. The company's return policy is absurdly complicated and difficult to comply with --- and costly. Reading other reviews on the item should have warned me. In many of the reviews the customer received a defective unit and had difficulty getting a replacement.
Summary: Bought this TV roughly eight months ago for $200 here on Amazon. Said it would ship in 2-3 weeks, and I got it in a week and a half, which was nice getting it sooner than anticipated. It came in the display box rather than a shipping container of sorts, which I guess is fine since it had decent packing inside of it.
