Summary: I was very suspicious of the low price on this HDTV, especially when I saw that it had all the typical features I want and need. I had never owned a Sceptre product before but found the review material online to be very positive. I decided to give it a try - boy am I happy I did! It is BETTER than expected in every way! Incredible picture, plenty of inputs, a great remote, fabulous sound from the onboard speakers. I thought I would need a separate soundbar - nope...
Summary: I bought three of these televisions (two 50" and one 32"# - mainly because of the price. Bought one about 1.5 years ago and the other about 6 months ago. Also, my son got a 32" for Christmas. The older one has died. Had a repairman come out and look at it and he said the "panel" had gone out - that does not mean a whole lot to me, but he said it would be better to just buy a new television.
Summary: Because of the price, my expectations are not extremely high but when this TV is showing a high definition channel, the picture is excellent. Just watched football on Sunday and it displayed the ball and player movement very well. I'm not a TV or home theater nut but do appreciate a good picture and this TV delivers. Make sure you've got good quality cables because at first I used a quick connect coax cable and the picture was horrible.
Summary: I would definitely recommend this tv to everyone. I just got it last week and it was like love at first sight. I was a bit concerned about the company but after watching the results I m satisfied. The picture quality is excellent.
Summary: This TV arrived at my door in perfect condition. It comes with the stand (as they all should), the remote, a screen cleaner, batteries, the screws for the stand, and it even included a Phillips screwdriver. I use it for my Xbox 360, and the graphics are awesome. Plenty of ports to connect to. I purchased the 3 year warranty, so with tax, shipping (which was only about $3.00), and the tv I spent around $450.00. I consider that an amazing deal.
Summary: I read all the reviews (and I mean all) before I purchased this TV. After the first one came damaged, Walmart sent me another one at no extra cost to me. Also, the Customer Service Representative I spoke with was excellent. A lot of the customers have problems with the sound. That was my main concern in deciding to order this TV. I had no problem with the sound on the damaged TV and I have no problem with the sound on this TV.
Summary: I was skeptical of a TV that costs so little, yet offers such a large picture. I was quite pleased with the looks and the ease of attaching the stand. This is not a TV for those who just want it to be perfect right out of the box. You need to adjust the picture settings, but once you do the picture is beautiful. The sound however is a different story. I just didn't like the sound quality no matter how it was adjusted.
Summary: After looking on line and in stores, this TV and it's price topped them all! *PICTURE: Very good HD quality. In some cases, far better than other MAJOR brands at triple the price! *SOUND: As with virtually any other flat screen, it's fair at best. Have never heard a flat screen deliver sound you would brag about. A pair of inexpensive computer speakers will easily correct this. *SET-UP: Nothing complicated. Easy to read manual and on screen instructions.
Summary: This is our 2nd Scepter. The first was a 32" that we use as both a PC monitor and TV in our guest room. This second unit is in our great room and both were excellent buys, so don't let the bargain price concern you. Both sets have great sound sound quality out of the box but we added 200 watt surround sound to this 50 inch unit to give theater quality sound boost when watching movies in the large great room space with vaulted ceiling.
Summary: I purchased this TV based on the price and on other reviews on picture quality. I knew their might be a disappointment with the sound quality. By tweaking the sound controls I was able to get "almost" acceptable sound. I had a decision to make. Try to connect to my home theater system, buy a sound bar or just return it. As I was very impressed with picture quality I wanted to keep the TV.
