Summary: I read many rewiews on this TV before I made my purchase, So my expectations were that it would have a good entry level picture quality. Setup was effortless and when I powered it up the picture quality was good. I knew from the reviews that it came set to power save mode. When I set it to standard the picture was stunning. And Vivid mode is even better.
Summary: I brought this TV home and spent 30 minutes trying to figure out their instructions for attaching the base. Once I understood it, it was easy to do. Then I turned it on - and there was this huge black blob across almost all of the tv. It was obvious that someone had dropped it. Just for grins I called the Spectre tech support to see if there was a rest button I could try, but all they said when they saw the pictures that I sent to them, was our warranty doesn't cover...
Summary: Since I am a cheapskate I do not get cable or satellite broadcasts so mine is hooked up to a roof mounted antenna with pre-amplifier and rotator. The picture from the HD stations comes in perfectly. Also I did not notice a sound problem like others have. Seems to work well at all levels. The remote is easy to use and all adjustments such as sound, tint, brightness and contrast are easy to adjust. The supplied stand when mounted is level.
Summary: I've been using this tv for 6 months now, and it's been great. I went in with low expectations because of the price, but I ended up really happy with the picture quality and the tv in general. I definitely recommend it based on the experience I've had with it.
Summary: I've had the TV for about 2 1/2 years now. For me, easy set up and lots of inputs and outputs. The screen is still bright in a well-lit room, good blacks, hook up the vga to a computer and it's eye- popping in a darkened room. The Wii Frisbee Disc Golf is crisp. The HDMI input from my sat provider makes Honey Boo Boo stand out. The micro-HDMI to HDMI converts the TV nicely for me to see a red bird crash in a wall to knock down a grunting pig.
Summary: I bought this TV because of price and size. I was pleasently suprised by it's performance. The picture is clear and bright the sound quality is good. I haven't noticed any distortion unless you crank it up past halfway. I only have it at about 10 volume and it's quite sufficient. I don't know why you would want it any louder unless you're deaf. It offers plenty of adjustments to suit your preference. The setup was easy.
Summary: Very excellent product for your money at $289. It exceeded my expectations considering some reviews stating that the sound wasn't good or lack of control settings. Some times I need to put the volume down all the way to number 2 or 3! It has excellent sound, pretty decent picture quality. I even connected the TV to my computer and had full HD, I'm giving it 4 stars because it's not entirely native HD using it as a PC monitor but the movies are displayed at full HD.
Summary: I'm rating this with the thought in mind that this is a low-end value TV. The quality is good. You will be hard-pressed to find a TV with the quality viewing for the same money. I purchased this TV for my mom to replace a dinosaur she had. If you are not a TV fanatic, need a good quality set for with a low-end price, you should definitely consider. For myself, I have purchased Sceptre before and the quality was surprising for what I expected.
Summary: For being what I considered an "off brand," I have been very happy with this TV. The price is great, and that worried me, but my living room TV is a Samsung that cost more than three times the price of this one. While the Samsung is a better picture and has a few other better features, for the price I would buy this Sceptre TV again without any regrets. It has 4 HDMI connections, 1 RCA connection, and 1 Componnent connection.
