I bought this tv and have thus far enjoyed it until it broke recently

Lawrence, Amazon

  • Summary: I bought this tv and have thus far enjoyed it until it broke recently. Honestly, I may not be the best judge here because I've been using really old TVs for a long time, but this thing has done the job very well for me.

Great value great price.

Jason S., Newegg
19 March 2012
  • Summary: I've had another 46" (of the same brand) for 4 years now without any problems and so far this one has worked without a hitch.
  • Pros: Picture quality is excellent, blacks seem dark, no bleeding of light from edges, and easy to setup.
  • Cons: Remote - it seems like you basically have to be perfectly lined up with the IR receiver in order for it to work. Speakers cause vibration noise when bass is set too high.

Decent TV, great for the price

  • Pros: Great valve for the price I bought it at (300 with free shipping). Good picture quality, tactile side mounted buttons, side mounted ports. Great for TV and movies, or use as a super sized computer monitor. Very responsive interface.
  • Cons: Poor volume range. Goes from 0-100, but even at 5 it's as loud as my Samsung is at 30/100. Ghosts heavily and ill suited for gaming and fast action.

  • Pros: Great picture and price
  • Cons: None of the manual buttons on the side of the TV work so unfortunately I had to send it back. I was told that they are out of stock but are expecting more.

Pleasantly surprised so far!

S King, Amazon
11 January 2012
  • Summary: I ordered this TV as a Christmas gift for the bedroom. At first I was a little disappointed at the imagine from the dish network box (I heard you have to turn the dish box on a certain way to get it to broadcast 1080p - still haven't made time to test it) the image looks okay so far through the...

Cracked Screen

Anonymous, Newegg
10 January 2012
  • Summary: I will update review after new TV is received.
  • Pros: Good sale price.
  • Cons: DOA - Crack in screen, possibly from delivery or poor quality packaging. The crack went all the way around the outside of the screen. Newegg was quick to issue an RMA though and awaiting a new TV.

Pretty Good

Steven K., Newegg
4 January 2012
  • Summary: I don't think this is the TV's fault but, the picture is not great so far from the dish box... I think it's the box though so I'm still rating it high, I hooked my laptop up and the image is pretty dang good!
  • Pros: 1080p great price
  • Cons: the condition of the box upon arrival was iffy - not in great shape but, good enough for me not to reject the package - thank goodness so far everything is fine.

  • Summary: When I got it and set it up. My first experience with this TV is okay. Just have to tweak some setting and it look better than before. Will getting replacement or repair by Newegg or in repair location. I guess the saying is true. You get what you paid for.
  • Pros: *Fast Shipping! Thank to Newegg. I got it the next day :D *Very bright color *1808p *4 HDMI * Excellent loud surround sound!
  • Cons: *Feel more warm compared to my 42in Vizio *One stuck pixel on bottom center of this TV *So-so package(My box was tashed too) *Screen kept flashing while watching movies *Not clear. I could tell the straight lines is jagged. Not very smooth.

User Review

Joe Z., Newegg
30 December 2011
  • Summary: My box was tashed as well.
  • Pros: A ton of people have purchased the predecessor X405BV and it received good reviews, so I thought I'd try this one to use as a gaming monitor. I also was able to get this when it was @ $299, and so far I'm happy with it. I used the calibration app w/in Win7 and only had to make a few tweaks. The p...
  • Cons: Mounting onto the stand was a PITA, and all four HDMI connectors are on one side. That's what knocked the rating down to a 4 of 5. As far as monitor use goes, one may need to be careful about the text, but lowering the sharpness a bit, as well as using the Win7 ClearType calibrator, solved any pr...

Great for the price

dean o., Newegg
29 December 2011
  • Summary: I got this set primarialy because of the special price, regardless of the brand. Normally I would not have bought this brand but after receiving it I see that the quality is not too bad and I am satisfied. It's not my primary TV but it could be.
  • Pros: Has 4 hdmi inputs which is great. It has only 1 composite video input which is OK but I wish it had two. Picture looks good with no dead or stuck pixels.
  • Cons: It's a brand that you might not recognize and it might make you not buy it. The base doesn't make me comfortable because even though it's large enough to support the set, it's a bit wobbley. I won't be touching it much after it's in use so it probably won't be a problem.
