Picture went black 2 months out of warranty

Jesse B. Rothschild, Amazon
19 June 2014
  • Summary: Picture was not bad, and for the purchase date the price was not bad. Based on a couple of reports of the picture going black right away, I thought I was safe if it worked a couple of months. But no. Two months out of manufacturer's warrant the picture went black. It is dead. I bought a replacement Vizio LED Smart TV of the same 32" size at Wal-Mart tonight for only $10 more than this junk cost me.

I would not purchase again

Nick B "Nick", Amazon
15 February 2014
  • Summary: I purchased two of these televisions and have had issues with both of them. The first one I bought had a problem in the sound system. You could not hear the television in a very small room. Finally, the power supply ceased to function leaving the screen black. The 2nd television has speaker rattle, similar to a blown speaker. The power light also flickers on and off. I purchased an LG for more money to replace these televisions, and the LG is worth the extra money.

Stopped turning on and terrible sound, (less than a yea)

Roxanne Lowe, Amazon
19 January 2014
  • Summary: We had purchased this to replace a very old bedroom TV and figured anything would be an upgrade.. Although there was a large number of reviews pointing out the terrible sound, we thought it wouldn't be an issue with us due to having a smaller bedroom. Turned out it really was horrible, and it sounded like you were listening to a TV that was in another room or through the walls..

Do Not Waste Your Money

Shane, Amazon
11 December 2013
  • Summary: Wow! I bought two of these for use in my department for video conferences and product data displays. In less than 9 months I've had to repair one of these twice. The other one just went out as well. So, 3 repairs in 9 months. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON THESE. Spend a little extra and buy a Samsung or Sony.

DONT BUY IT! RETURNED 2 TIMES IN 6 MONTHS FOR SERVICE.

Joe Gilbert Lopez Jr, Amazon
27 September 2013
  • Summary: This looks like a great deal because of the cost, and all the bad reviews don't appear. You have 60 days from purchase to return it to Amazon. If it breaks after that like it did for me in the 3rd month, then you have to have the box mailed to you then you have to mail it back Sceptre for repair. This is twice that (per the IT tech who came and looked at it) the brains are dead.

  • Summary: I had the TV less than 6 months and it just stopped working. Took it to the repair shop and they said that it cannot be repaired. What a waste of money!

TV barely made it one year before it quit working

sarah, Amazon
23 September 2013
  • Summary: If you are going to buy a cheap TV you had better plan on getting the warranty as well. Not saying that will guarantee you get a replacement, but all tv's this price are cheaply made

DIED After 6 Months

Aaron, Amazon
3 September 2013
  • Summary: On the first day of the 6th month, the TV started hesitating to turn on. About a week later, the device will not power on at all. No help from the seller. I discourage buying this. You get what you pay for.
