Had it replaced under warranty thanks to Better Business Bureau
24 July 2013
Summary: I purchased this TV through walmart.com, and the picture went black on it after only a few months. This is apparently a common problem with these TV's. I tried to contact customer service several times to no avail. I then filed a BBB complaint and immediately a Sceptre customer service representative contacted me and was very helpful. They sent me a shipping box and a prepaid shipping level to return the TV to them (all at no cost to me).
Summary: I bought 7 of these for our motel. I now have three that have gone dark. I give it 2 stars and not just one because sending them in for service is pretty easy when you request it online. Within 48 hours I get an email with a label to print and if I need one, a box is sent to me to ship it back in (now I just keep one around). Within 2 weeks I get the TV back.
Summary: Watch the reviews on this TV. I bought 2 of them in 2012 and both are dead already. Same story as others. On screen Logo turns pink (was red), then fades away to an all black screen. Sound still works, but black screen. This soon progresses to a totally dead TV. Do not attempt to call for service. Go onto sceptre.com and fill out a service request. If TV is still under 1 year warranty, they will send you a shipping label and if you request it a box.
Summary: PROS: -It's super cheap for a 32-inch -It works (at least mine does) -HDMI! (just like every other flat screen...) -USB! (at least as many ports as every other flat screen) CONS: -Terrible, TERRIBLE audio. If this is the only 'con' that makes you skeptical, then just invest in a sound system (even a cheap crappy set of speakers should be an improvement). What I found is that the volume control only seems to work at super low volumes.
noce picture but the remote control sensor is junk

Summary: this TV has a great picture. However, the remote sensor is really bad. At first It hought it was the remote- I changed fresh batteries, and still had to sit up in bed, point the remote directly at TV and within a couple of feet to get it to work on any function except "power". Eventually, after about 1 month , it only worked for "power" , nothing else. I bought a universal remote, got it programmed, but it only works consistently for "power", nothing else.
