Summary: We received this TV as a gift and have had terrible problems with the volume. We can hardly hear it even though it is up to the highest level. When we spoke with a Sceptre technician, he advised that we need to purchase a speaker to increase the volume and noted that the price range is from $40-$400 if purchased thru Sceptre. This is a very POOR product and the company needs to take responsibility for it's shortcomings but won't.
Summary: Bought it Dec 6, 2012 [on-line from Wal-Mart]. In Feb 2013 the on-screen display began to malfunction. It pretty much worked when it pleased. Then on Apr 1, 2013 it turned itself off and wouldn't restart. Contacted customer support by phone [I prefer to yell at a human rather than play e-mail tag]. They readily gave me the steps needed to return the TV for repair. However, they took their sweet time processing my request and giving me my return shipping permit.
Summary: I WOULDNT EVEN GIVE THIS THING ONE STAR IF I DIDNT HAVE TO. THE SOUND QUALITY SUCKS AND THERES NO OTHER WAY TO ADJUST THE SOUND OTHER THAN GETTING UP AND DOING IT MANUALLY BECAUSE THE VOLUME BUTTONS ON THE REMOTE DONT WORK AT ALL. THE STAND IS WOBBLY AND I FEEL LIKE IF I JUST TOUCH THE TV THE WHOLE THING IS GONNA FALL OVER AND BREAK. I BOUGHT THIS THING LAST NOVEMBER AND NOW THE TV WONT EVEN TURN ON AND TECH SUPPORT WONT ANSWER THE PHONE.
