Summary: I actually purchaed this same TV from Amazon.com on Thursday (Thanksgiving night) after trying to buy a TV at the local walmart that same night. Walmart sold out of the Emmerson brand TV before the sale even started. I am sure glad they did. I went home and bougt this TV online for $179. You can not beat that price for the quality of this TV. The current cyber monday price in the Walmart add is for $188 and that is still a steal. The picture is crystal clear.
Summary: Ordered based on excellent reviews. Returned set for two reasons. The picture was very clear but seemed distorted. Persons appeared fatter or wider then normal. Also appeared very big ie like when you magnify your pc and then it appears too big. Would be better if it was down perhaps one notch in magnification. Second reason was when I attempted to play a dvd got no dvd sound but sound of the program being watching before going into av mode.
Summary: I'll try to keep this review simple. When I saw this TV my first thought was how can they afford to sell the LED TV at the cost of the LCD equivalent? The answer is cheap parts. This TV worked great for the first week of use... Then the sound just quit working all of a sudden. One moment the TV was fine, then the next it was useless. The headphones port quit working too which leads me to believe a faulty sound card was the problem. Simply put: Don't buy this one.
Summary: Was looking for a 27" LED monitor. After seting my price point this TV came up in the mix, actually below my max price... After reading about the various features, it got my attention, especially the 32" size! So I started reading the reviews. Have purchased many items from Amazon with great savings most of the time but I've also learned that when I need to return something, generally any savings I've gained is lost in the return shipping costs.
Summary: Although there are MANY other TV's that are great and may far exceed this one, this TV is the best value (especially for an LED) with the lowest price that is not a dumpy model. I purchased this TV for a friend (I own a Samsung and a Vizio myself), but was very pleased with it upon testing it out. The screen after setting the picture was very vibrant and after setting the sound EQ's the TV had plenty of bass and depth in all the audio.
Summary: I am a Marine stationed overseas and I bought this TV because of the great reviews and low price, but I still had doubt in my mind. Once this TV came, it all went away. My roommate, spent over $1k on an 42" LED TV and the only thing difference is his TV is larger and mine cost $800+ less. This TV is INSANE! I LOVE IT, DEFINITELY WILL BUY AGAIN, SCEPTRE IS A GREAT BRAND!
Summary: I recently purchased this tv and am really impressed with it, the sound quality is not an issue for me as some reviewers have complained about it, as long as you play around with the settings and adjust it, I have the sound mode set to dynamic, and on the equalizer settings I have it set to mode- rock, and it sounds fine to me, it also has a surround mode that i sometimes use on my xbox 360 which it works great on and has no lag during gameplay, which is a problem with...
Summary: My TV Was a Christmas gift from my niece in 2011. Excellent Picure, poor sound quality. When I called the manufacturer they only provide mail in service in South Carolina! It also takes a long time! He told me that they provided the best Speakers for this type of TV and that many customers were using a sound bar to fix the sound problem. However, he could not recommend what type of sound bar they were buying or which one I needed to purchase.
Summary: This is my first flat screen HDTV and I got it on April 3rd. How could you beat $219 for an LED HDTV? It might not be the best tv out there but I think it's a good price for what you're getting. Everyone's review is saying the sound is their least favorite feature about the tv but I use it in my room, so, it sounds alright. You just have to adjust the settings to your liking and you're good!
