  • Summary: No good under one year
  • Pros: We purchased two sets, this being the larger one. It was not run thru a cable box, but basic cable at first. within 8 months, the picture began to "freeze". This has gotten progressively worse, usually worked for at least ten minutes, now picture is just frozen. Sanyo customer service said it was the cable box until I informed them it was not hooked to a box. Nearest repair facility is a 6 hour round trip. Now, the smaller version is starting to fail. I do not recomme...
  • Cons: Picture freezes

  • Summary: Since I've had great luck with my 42 inch, 600Hz,720p, Sanyo Plasma TV (model DP42740), I decided to purchase the DP42410 LCD set. I've run this for two days without a glitch and can tell you that LCD is the way to go if you have issues with glare in a well lighted room. The HD clarity is awesome. That being said the SD channels are OK/acceptable but fall short of the TV's 1080i performance.
  • Pros: Excellent HD pictures, 120Hz, sound, easy setup, price, great digital tuner, nice instructions/manual, good connectivity, sports settings, very acceptable off-angle viewing, decent blacks (for the price).
  • Cons: No headphone jack, stand doesn't swivel, no backlight on remote and the channel/volume buttons don't really stand out so well in low light conditions, USB can't be used for music or video clips (just photos).

  • Summary: This TV can't be beat for the price. We shopped around a lot and every store that carries Samsung and Sony, LG had TONS of returned open box items in those brands. We had settled on a Sharp Quadtron 46" or 52", it definitely had the superior color overall, but couldn't find any open-box Sharps anywhere, hmmm, no returns? wow. So we finally gave up for that day and went to Walmart for some groceries. I didn't want to buy a TV from Walmart, I mean, really? haha.
  • Pros: Assuming it lasts a while we will be extremely happy with it. THey run it at the local 24-hour walmart non-stop 24-7. Also got a 3-yr warranty there for $65, rather than the $130 that Best Buy wanted. So that "looks" like additional savings too. Picture is clear and sharp with a digital signal not so great with standar def, but definitely acceptable.
  • Cons: No Swivel on the base. Not as thin as the latest LED models. Adjustments are kind of limited.
