Summary: Bought this by price for my garage. They forgot the remote, but an email got it sent by next day air !!! Set works great and the DVD is just great. Sanyo is a good set, as I looked at Walmart, however, given current low, low prices, I would go for a Samsung , Sony or Toshiba as price permits. The new LED is the way to go if you have any vision problem.
Excerpt: I got this tv for christmas, and I usally use it to watch tv and play Xbox on. Firstly, I have regular cable, so it dosen't look that good but it's still watchable. For Xbox, it looks great, I use an HDMI cable and I set it to 720p on my Xbox. I would only recommend this tv if your on a budget, and you can tolerate a not so great looking tv (unless you use it for Xbox, or Bluray player or something).
Excerpt: So this was the first HDTV I bought and If i do say so myself it is excellent. It was reasonably priced and has wickedly cool graphics even when not in HD. I've always been a Sanyo fan, Even with their other products like the incognito. Sanyo makes durable products that can last a lifetime if you treat it right. It's also the perfect size. It's not too small or too big.
Excerpt: I looked at alot of televisions for my living room. I have a little room so i didnt want anything huge. So i looked at 32" flat screen tv's. I found a few that were well over $400. Then i found this one under $400. So i went for it. It has turned out to be the best electronic piece in my house. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone. Excerpt: Just got this TV for Christmas and I was so excited to use it. I know they bought it cheap so I was a little afraid that it would be comprised in quality. However, I don't have very high standards. I had an old school TV before, so anything was an improvement. I set it up, and noticed that it did all of the same things that my parents very expensive 40" TV did. I plugged in my DVD player, and my Wii, and they both worked and looked awesome.
Excerpt: This Sanyo - DP26649 26 in. LCD TV is not a very good tv. I was not impressed at all and very dissopointed. We purchasd this tv on a budget so we went cheap and cheap is what you get with the Sanyo DP26649 26 in. LCD TV. The screen is fuzzy and when the screen goes black or dark according to waht is showing on the screen there are green lines about 2 in wide all the way accross up and down.
Excerpt: Not being rich or finding much need for snazzy, high tech options - my husband and I were quite content with our small CRT TV - especially since our lives don't tend to revolve around our television. Without Satellite/Cable or a Blu-Ray player, an HDTV seemed kind of pointless. My dad, apparently, did not agree. Thus, while we were in the hospital welcoming our second child into the world, he decided it was time to upgrade our televesion technology.
Excerpt: My wife's mother bought this TV for us earlier in the year, and although it isn't the exact one I'd choose, personally, it's a great TV and we've been nothing less than satisfied with it. First of all, it's a great value. At just under $300 for a 26" LCD TV, that's an unbeatable price, unless you're willing to buy a lower end brand or brave the crowds on Black Friday.
Excerpt: I was TV shopping for my PS3 because if I wanted to play videogames, or watch blu-ray movies, and I saw this TV at a decent price, I decided to get it, and the quality is not bad at all. =) Even if you buy the tv for a ps3/xbox gaming, you still need to buy the HDMI cable, but they usually cost around $20-$15 for a good one.
Excerpt: This TV was a great open-box price at Walmart; we paid less than $200. When we took it open and set it up, we found out why it was so cheap. I don't know if it was because it was an open-box special, but our TV's coloring is lighter on top than it is on the bottom. It doesn't really affect viewing after you get used to it, but it's definitely annoying at first. The sound seems to echo a little, even with lots of adjusting.
