Summary: I purchased this TV in late 2008 to replace a dinosaur CRT type. The reason I opted for this is it would fit my oak entertainment center. It's surprisingly light and also impressively reliable. Since owning this I have never experienced a single problem with it. The picture quality is reasonably vivid (it falls short of a Sony HD model I own, but not by much.
Summary: Being out of country, it was hard to find a quality T.V fora low price. Better Buy Television was able to provide the television i was looking for at the lowest price I could find as well as a safe delivery from the states to korea. The description of the item matched exactly what I received.
Summary: I was looking for a small, inexpensive HDTV for the bedroom, and the 26" Sanyo DP26640 fit the bill well. While nothing about it stands out, the price was right, and the picture quality is good. The 720p resolution looks fine on a screen this small. I've had it for about a year now. It's not perfect, see cons below, but I'm happy with it. Pros: Overall good picture quality. Very good contrast. Good sound quality. Good value for the price.
Summary: My elderly, newly widowed mom bought this TV and uses it minimally. After just over a year, the module blew and we were quoted $160 for the repair bill. Of course, the company's response is...too bad...so sad...you're just over the warrantly period...The TV is going in the trash...JUST SAY NO TO SANYO!!!
Summary: The TV works great, except for the huge scratch in the middle of the tv. I didnt expect a "brand new" tv but the screen should be some what perfect, and the side paneling should be the part that looks awful.
Summary: In shopping for my Sanyo DP26640 26" LCD HDTV w/digital tuner, it was suggested to me that I shop online at Amazon.com. I found exactly what I was looking for, and the price was quite cheaper than what WalMart, Best Buy, and even the pawn shops were offering. Amazon.com, YOU ROCK!!!
