Summary: In response for Walkman, your review was what inspired me to write my own. If you want features from a 2012 TV do not buy a 2011 set then dump on the TV because you made a poor decision. This TV was a premium set for 2011 and in it's day was the best LED on the market.
Pros: Ultra thin and attractive from any angle. Good contrast ratio for an LED and above average viewing angle (not as good as Panasonic's IPS panels but sufficient for average seating placement). Decent input lag specs for gaming.
Cons: App set is cumbersome and lacks todays compliment of applications.
Summary: I would highly recommend this TV or any of the 240 Hz or 240 CMR LEDs from Samsung, particularly in 3D. These TVs blow away most other brands, and if you don't believe me, go to the local electronics stores with the walls of TVs and compare for yourself.
Pros: Although I own the 55" version of this TV, I had to add a review here since someone had to say Samsung TVs are poor quality. One, do they even make DLP TVs anymore? Anyway, this is a 2011 model, but was the beginning of a huge leap forward in TV technology. You can see the hair on peoples fingers...
Cons: You will be disappointed in trying to watch standard definition on this TV because it emphisizes the graininess. Be prepared to have high def programming and a 3D blu ray player or PS3. Also, the 3D glasses for this model year are not very comfortable for wearing long periods of time.
Summary: gfparker, at some point I had no clue what the heck you were going on about, but Samsung service isn't poor. I was at a point were I had to use their service. However my largest issue with your opinion, is the fact you are complaining about a 67 inch DLP Television.
Pros: Samsung quality on LCDs to LEDs and similar tvs are better than most tvs. With Sony being on par in my opinion.
Cons: Their motherboards HDMI ports become loose over time.
Summary: I purchased this TV to replace my old 42" Vizio LCD i bought about 6 years ago. I did a lot of research online and decided it was either a sony or a samsung based off recommendations from friends and online. I went to my local electronics store to see some of the TVs in action.
