  • Summary: If you purchase a Samsung product, you may be happy with it for a while. It may or may not work for the ONE YEAR warranty period without needing any repairs. My TV worked great for 3 1/2 years before the main board went out. The repair man said repair costs for him to fix would be appx $450.00 if he didn't run into any other problems while actually making repair. I can buy a new TV now for this amount or less.

  • Summary: The hype buildup for Samsung was not realized. In fact, I have a Vizio at my gym with more and better features. My 8 year old 40 inch LCD Sony is very much superior in all respects -except size. The Sony has many more input possibilities for either component or composite/S-video and as many HDMI inputs. The Sony and Vizio both have much better control over captions. For a few hundred dollars more I would most certainly buy a Sony.

Great when it works

  • Summary: Had my samsung not-so-smart tv for about 8 months. Its a gorgeous tv when it works, but the HDMI ports are so temperamental that is you nudge the tv or even look at it funny it looses the HDMI signal. Ive bought at least a half dozen cables trying to remedy the situation but with no luck. Its now a 1600 dollar paperweight.

Picture flickers and quality declines immediatelyl

SJD "SJD", Amazon

  • Summary: I was excited to purchase a Samsung tv for under 2000, but this one wasn't worth a penny. The picture was initially very good, but after about three months the screen would go black but the sound stayed on. I looked online and I see that many other people are having the same issue. Samsung said to "replace the lamp". Well, after expensive repairs it worked well for another two months and then went black again.

  • Summary: Ordered this tv thru cyber monday deals. When we received the tv the screen was broken and picture shattered. Was not a happy customer and apparently the shipping process was not very kind to the tv. Due to .com purchase, ended up having to exchange tv for a tv not as high quality for same price.

  • Summary: Either the TV is defective or it was damaged by Walmart staff... Either way, I have to lug this thing back to the store... The entire top of the screen and sides are damaged....
