What it has in great hardware it lacks in software.

Summary: The video itself on this TV is gorgeous, excellent colors, darks, and whites. It's slim and very appealing to look at....that is if your watching something that isn't from the software that comes with the TV. The software is the major downside of this TV, its slow show an AD on the right hand side, and crashes unexpectedly. The best way to describe this TV is to compare it to a Galaxy phone, absolutely great hardware but absolutely terrible software.
No sound when streaming amazon thru external speakers, stand doesn't swivel

Summary: Picture quality very good. I personally am not interested in features like gesture control. I want a great picture. I also want to stream Netflix and Amazon. I have my TV connected to external speakers. The only app I get sound from is Pandora but not Amazon or Netflix. However if I stream thru my Sony blu ray player I do get sound. So this is obviously a Samsung issue.
Summary: Amazon delivered my UN60ES8000 at 10:30 AM Friday, July 27, 2012. The two Pilot Freight Services reps had it out of the box sitting on its pre-installed floor stand and operating acceptably within 10 minutes. Getting my components plugged in and operating well together took another half-day or so.
Summary: EDIT #2: I've not had any additional problems with the SmartHub network identified in Edit #1. As such I'm pushing this back to three stars and will probably call it good as Samsung has moved on to a new line of 2013 TV's anyway. EDIT #1: I'm adjusting my rating down to 1 star from 4 due to the simple fact Samsung insists on linking their SmartHub network operations to all my TV watching options.
