Summary: The picture quality is great but very disappointed with the Smart TV capability. Many of the apps have user interfaces from the 1980's. The voice and motion features do not work very well at all. Wish I had a chance to try the Smart features before buying. I would just get the regular (non-Smart) TV. It seems to complain a lot that it can't detect the Internet via Wi-Fi, but it's the only piece of equipment in the house that seems to have this problem.
Summary: I had this TV for about a year now and the quality is amazing! The slim TV is great feature.. The HD cables does make a HUGE difference in the quality of the picture.. I originally had the cable company 'time warner' cable box with their HD cable and noticed that it was not crisp.. I then tried to change setting on the TV and followed recommendations on how to set but still I was not satisfied.
Summary: I've had three (four if you include the 7100 I tried as well) of these TVs and they all exhibit bad screen uniformity problems and flash-lighting/clouding - (some worse than others - but all entirely unacceptable IMO). After realizing that this is just inherent to these sets (Samsung techs all but confirmed that) \and that some people just apparently aren't bothered by it (I can't quite come to grips iwth this but it must be true and based on peoples viewing habits), I...
Not bad, but spend the extra money and get the 8000 series

Summary: Not a terrible tv, but far from perfect. First and foremost, light bleed is pretty bad. I tried to watch a dark movie with a lot of night scenes, and it was so bad that it was hard to make out faces in the areas of the screen where the light bleed was the worst. This new wave of "Smart Tv" technology absolutely annoys me. The first thing I did was turn all the "smart" features off, and get it set up as what it is....a tv.
Summary: Simply cannot give this unit more than 3 stars. Unfortunately as with most current flat screen TV's nowadays, you are forced into features you may not want or need. In this case two remotes - one standard remote that works fine and another remote that is just plain terrible. The voice and gesture controls are pathetic at best - shut those off. The auto-volume feature....well, can some manufacturer get this right for once, just doesn't work properly.
Pros: light weight, thin
Cons: comical picture quality. glossy finish on the screen surface. terrible secondary remote. gestures and voice control are just cumbersome at best.
Backlight issues when all or one part of the screen is supposed to be black

Summary: Pros: +The picture is great but for reasons that are hard to explain, it takes some getting used to. I am switching from a old 1080i projection screen that had more of a movie feel, while watching a movie on this set seems more like super sharp TV. +The 3D picture looks great. +Was able to connect to laptop for view 3D enabled games via HDMI (note you need to adjust the picture settings to prevent edges from being cropped) +Netflix, VUDU, and Pandora apps work great...
great picture, apps work, nothing else incl. browser

Summary: TV has a great picture, 3D works great as well. Built-in apps work well. That's it. The TV turns itself on for no reason. The voice recognition is terrible. The hand movement stuff won't work. If you intend to stream from sites through the browser, forget it. The browser is so slow you cannot stream anything. I tried to watch TV episodes from the major networks, no dice. They pause every few seconds to catch up.
Cons: Browser, Allshare, Voice recognition, motion controls, not at all a SMART TV
Summary: Overall this is a great TV. The picture is great and one of the brightest TV's I have ever seen. Next to other lcd/led TV's, it looks like it is glowing. That's the good.. Now for the bad. THERE IS NO VARIABLE AUDIO OUTPUT. This is ridiculous... How can a TV this hi tech not have what my 5 yr old Olevia tv has. Now I am going to have to re-think my whole home theater audio set up.
