Summary: This tv is advertised with audio out and it does not have this. TV has good pic and sound but for the price not a great deal. My older samsungs come with more hdmi's, audio out and other hookups. After trying to hookup soundbar, I called Samsung who confirmed no audio out. Every store that sells this TV advertises the audio out. I took this TV back and bought Sharp Aquos which does have audio out and 4 HDMIs.
Summary: It's a great TV for the price I paid. Nice pic. Initial impression is judging from the remote, the functionality is less than my previous Samsung TV. But my biggest concern is with the stand. There is a piece that links the stand to TV which you will use 8 screws to secure it. But even after some tightening it is wobbly if you touch the TV on the side a bit too much. It doesn't give me too much comfort that it is solid.
Summary: Alright! This TV is okay, nothing more. The sound isn't worth mentioning at all and the features of this model is extremely basic. I recommend the vizio model below. Many more features, built in wifi and almost $300 cheaper. Don't waste your time looking at this samsung anymore. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009H8JOZS/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?
Summary: I am very happy with the quality of the picture, but extremely disappointed by the absence of any way to output the sound to a receiver. There are no sound output ports, and no support for HDMI Audio Return Channel. The built-in 10W speakers are substandard. Not recommended for those of us who use over-the-air signals without any means for outputting sound to an external amplifier.
