Summary: After spending this kind of money I expect more than 14 months from a TV. I've had a number of different brands of TV's before this Samsung and none lasted less than 5 years. This is my first Samsung.
Pros: I can't honestly say there is a single one.
Cons: This TV has had problems since day one. I found my external speaker system would not work with it even though it is supposed to accept external speakers. I found the antenna reception very poor while my cheap Westinghouse TV not only had very good reception from the same antenna lead but picked u...
Summary: Love the fact the TV turns itself off after a period of inactivity. I sometimes leave my computer for dinner, etc., with the intention of returning, then forget. Computer goes to sleep and TV turns itself off, so no inadvertent burning of images on the scree.
Pros: Had over a year and no issues. Crystal clear picture. Don't use the internal speakers because I have this attached to my computer and use surround sound speakers.
Pros: You can't get a better LED for the price. Did quite a bit of research before I bought this set and is a great LED, easy set, directions, lightweight, uses less than 20 watts and Samsung is a reliable brand. My 49" LCD uses 300 watts, so this is a very green product(the old LCD is still chugging a...
Cons: UPS driver delivered a smashed piece of glass(ordered 3 days shipping). When I complained to the rude driver, he told me that I should go buy my TV from retail store.Called Newegg, Newegg next day aired my replacement LED and the UPS delivery driver dropped off the TV without any smart remarks. N...
Cons: Tv has broken down like 4 times in 10 months, Samsung repaired it 3 times and when fourth repair came up the repair tech recommended a replacement tv. That's when Samsung all of the sudden said Newegg is not an authorized Samsung dealer and my warrantee is void.
Pros: This tv works great as a monitor for gaming. I haven't used it for anything besides my a monitor so I can't comment on the subscription cable side of things. Setup was easy and it's a surprisingly light unit. The picture is crisp and color is pretty good. No wifi connection but it does have an et...
Cons: Slight ghosting when moving and dark object over a light surface. I just noticed it after about 6 months of ownship.
Summary: I researched for nearly a month looking for a 3D television. Weighed the PROS and CONS and there were only two brands that I considered after reading reviews. Before buying, I went to the local big box and asked for demo on the 3D TVs and had the sales associate dig out the 3D glasses for each set.
Pros: Price: If you get this TV on sale, like I did, for less than $500, it is an exceptional deal. Superb picture with not motion blur on sports events. 240hz clear motion rate. 2D-3D conversion so you can watch your TV shows in 3D. Sound quality is good. Light weight - I lifted this out of the box wi...
Cons: Limited number of connectors. Only 2 HDMI ports. If I want to connect my PC, I have to unplug HDMI from another device. No PC VGA or DVI. Automatic dimming feature when picture is on Normal. Picture seems to dim and brighten even when room lighting does not change.
Summary: I got Samsung's Soundbar HW-F450 to go with this TV, and my home theater is quite epic now. Hah!
Pros: --IMO, best quality and value on a sub-$1,000 HDTV budget. The picture is unbelievable. Blu-ray movies like Game of Thrones are spectacular. It's like a window into ultra-reality. --I prefer that this has no built-in wi-fi, so that means there's definitely no creepy NSA spying like LG does on the...
Cons: --No audio output port that can work with standard computer speakers, but what TV has that anyway. Most merely have digital out. --Only one USB port. Only two HDMI ports. But I don't think this will be an issue for me.
Summary: I bought this set for $750+tax from a competitor, NewEgg, at the time of this review has it for $618, bummer for me. I replaced my "older" 40" Samsung LCD, and the difference is immediately noticeable.
Pros: 1080p, 120Hz*, nice blacks, haven't noticed any backlight bleeding, nice slim bezel, 3D ready.
Cons: TV stand does not rotate. Being LED backlit the set overall is pretty thick, by today's standards anyway. 3D glasses are not included. Have to dig through menus to enable/disable 120Hz refresh.
Pros: I paid around $500 for this TV. Samsung makes a great TV. I bought this because I already own a 46" and love it. This TV did not disappoint. I watched Iron Man 3 and the picture was incredible! I have only owned a couple of days, so I will leave more feedback at a later time.
