GOOD UNTIL 3 MONTHS OUT
5 August 2013
Summary: Purchased this set at Costco in December 2012. At just about the 3 month ownership interval, the volume control/mute would not function from my FIOS remote. I thought I had mistakenly pressed some control that caused this . I turned the TV off , then on and everything was okay. A couple of weeks later, the same thing happened. I fugure that it's my fault again.
Summary: I found this set to be a great product. I use it for television, and not much else. The picture is beautiful, and it is easy to set up. I actually like the on-screen menus. It also works well with my modem, and internet service.
Summary: Nice TV - easy setup - Picture Quality is great - slim design - does everything the description says it can do. Have to admit 3D is pretty cool - just not much software for it and only ESPN3D - all repeats - not the TV's fault. Good TV for TV, can go either way with the APPs and Internet stuff. Not my thing If your thinking 50" and on the fence for bigger - Go bigger - I love the 50 now Im wishing for the 60. Maybe next year.
Summary: This TV has beaten all my expectations and even thought I did not get it to look at 3-D, I am impressed with the DVDs I have watched. My only issue it to get it to default to the Samsung surround sound system for sound. I had hoped by getting both the TV and Surround Sound system from the same manufacture that this would not be a problem but it is.
Summary: 1. 2D is good(4 Star) 2. 3d is good (4 star) 3. 2D to 3D conversion (3 star) 3. Smart content (4 start) ( compare with LG and Sony .. Samsing is lot better) 4. Web browser. (2 star) useless... will update detail review soon.
Summary: Had this TV out of the box and in full performance very quickly - no digging through instruction manuals, just follow the on-screen prompts. 3D content is very hard to find on-line, and not many movies are available for rental. I assume that all of this will improve over time. Sound is surprisingly good for a thin TV; I had planned to buy additional speakers or a sound bar, but I can live with the sound from the TV for now.
