Beware the Auto Motion Plus option
7 October 2014
Summary: This is one of those items where a collective 4 to 5 star rating is a bit misleading. The main issue I have experienced is flickering bands around all sides, about the width of a letterbox, on a dark screen. Finally, I figured out this was due to enabling judder reduction under Auto Motion Plus under Picture Options. Upgrading to the latest 1024 firmware did not fix this, so I'm much happier now that I disabled this feature and the annoying bands are gone.
Summary: My wife and I have had this TV for almost a year now and we've been completely satisfied with it! We haven't encountered any issues at all. The size is perfect for our viewing space. We were never sold on 3D capability (a passing gimmick) or smart TVs (with often hard-to-navigate interfaces), so this was ideal for us.
Summary: I have had this TV for only a couple of months, so am still rather low on the "learning curve", but am quite pleased with it at this point. My biggest problem is that I am unable to connect an old VCR and a "not quite so old" DVD player to it. These older items do not have HDMI output, and the Samsung TV has only HDMI input capability, so at present, I am stuck -- trying to find a combination VCR/DVD player that will connect to this TV set.
Summary: I bought this TV strictly to use as a monitor for my XBone. It does not have all the extras such as wireless internet or apps, but I do not need them. The picture is great, the sound could be better (recommend a soundbar)and it has a game mode. Game mode limits some of the picture options, but speeds up processing time to avoid input lag. If you are looking for an inexpensive tv to game on, I can say this is a great choice.
Summary: I got this TV last summer (2013) and it worked great. Color was good and overall physical quality of the TV is nice. Plenty of picture options for tweaking and even without any adjustments to the settings themselves, it picture quality was good. Understand that you're getting a TV with limited ports, so if you need a main room TV with multiple devices attached, look elsewhere.

Summary: The tv will output at 1080px (1920x1080) my mac mini with hdmi. So, it may affect other computer input. However, as a workaround, Roku outputs at 1080p, and I can use Plex through roku and get 1080p on on this tv. no 3d, no smart tv, just the way I like it. It's a cheap big tv that displays a picture.
Summary: I have a Playstation 3 that serves as our blu-ray, netflix, and prime player. We subscribe to Verizon Fios cable, and we have 2 Macbook Pros and 2 iPhones. Put simply, we felt there was no need in our lives for a smart television. We have plenty of things in our home already that can capably browse the web. We weren't interested in 3D either. It's a fun novelty for the occasional movie, but for us, it wasn't something we felt the need to have in our daily life.
