Summary: The flat screen TV this unit replaced had front facing speakers, resulting in much better audio. It also had RCA audio out jacks for headphones. It seems that manufacturers have are forcing people to purchase soundbars at additional cost.
Summary: I haven't seen any new TVs that have enough connection options (S-Video, composite, vid-out). What's the world coming to! Buyer beware!
Pros: Good picture, remote control is easy to use. Perfect screen shape for anything on ESPN but not so good for toons on Boomerang (the manual warns against picture burn-in if 4:3 is viewed more than 5% of the time).
Cons: 1: DOWNWARD FACING SPEAKERS. Do you generally sit UNDER your TV? No? The audio sounds "funny". Guess they're trying to make you buy a soundbar!! 2: NO S-VIDEO "IN". But I knew that in advance. 3: Picture sizes are: 4:3, 16:9, Zoom 1 and Zoom 2 but it really needs a Zoom 0.7 for shows like SpongeB...
Summary: If you don't have a problem the cons, it still has a Very good sound and picture, better than most TV's out there. To bad Samsung fails to perform in some of the more simple areas!
