Excellent picture, but did have a "blowout"

Summary: Great picture, but after about 18 months, had a big "pop", and unit was dead. However, I blamed myself for not having the TV on a surge protector. And I have several other Sammy HDTVs, some as old as 7-8 years (most, but not all, on surge-protectors), and they are all running perfectly.
Summary: After 7 months of use i thought it's time for me to share a few things about this TV. I did a lot of research and Amazon probably had cheapest price when i bought it. I was very skeptical about letting anyone handle my TV but now i am fan of Amazon service.
Summary: After several months of using this TV, here are my impressions. Note that I'm using Antenna HD, PS3 Bluray, and DVD. Design: The thin bezel design and glass(stem) stand is gorgeous, it feels like the picture is floating on the stand.
Summary: I recently received this TV and I am very impressed with it. The picture is excellent and the design of the set itself is just remarkable. It's extremely thin and light (so much so that I easily mounted it to the wall by myself).

Summary: Very nice TV. Apps are pretty much useless to me since my PS3 has the apps I need. The picture is beautiful although somewhat dark at times. The 3D works ok, for 3D. No free glasses for me. Had to pay $50 ea for a couple of them.
Samsung 3D glasses promotion for this set not honored by some vendors.

Summary: FYI... "April 6, 2011 Samsung Press Release: Samsung will provide two pairs of 3D active glasses for its entire 3D TV lineup at no additional cost with the purchase of any Samsung 3D LED TV or 3D Plasmas TV" However, some vendors, such as Best Buy, are not honoring the offer on this 2011 TV (and...
