Not pleased

Robin O., Newegg
6 March 2011
  • Summary: I am returning my set and looking into another option. Maybe plasma, maybe just waiting a year or so to see how technology progresses. It's absolutely unacceptable for these TVs to have such major picture issues. LED LCD TVs clearly have a long way to go.
  • Pros: When the picture looks good, it looks really good.
  • Cons: Clouding. This is absolutely ridiculous. There are bright patches on the screen whenever a dark scene is shown. This is not noticeable during the day, but at night it becomes very obvious and late evening is when I use my TV the most. It's absurd for this to happen at all. In addition, there is w...

Nice LED-LCD

Anonymous, Newegg
13 January 2011
  • Summary: For those of you who believe this and other "LED" TVs are true "LED" TVs, well they're not. I am glad that they are at least calling them LED-LCD TVs now, because it was very misleading. These TVs are LCD TVs backlit with white LEDs, as opposed to LCD TVs which are backlit with florencent tubes.
  • Pros: Incredible picture when viewing 1080p movies. Nice for sports also, the 120 hz helps.
  • Cons: Network broadcasts are varying based on their own transmissions. Standard TV is terrible. Some HD channels, although a lot better than standard TV, are just not as clear. Fast motion causes issues even at 120 hz. I find myself changing options when switching from channel to channel. Sports at 60 ...

Great TV Overall

Justin T., Newegg
15 September 2010
  • Summary: It's light enough to handle and mount yourself but if at first you don't get it, get help. I used N82E16882021109 to mount it to an IKEA backpanel and used the wood screw set. I think this is a great stand alone TV but if you're going to add a media center component, make it a media center and not a...
  • Pros: Picture quality and TV size are perfect. The high definition channels are incredible and some broadcast in 120Hz so you can see the difference (motion is more natural). Standard channels will make you wan't to remove your eyes so make sure you have at least some HD programming to look at!
  • Cons: This TV has the capability to be perfect, but it looses an egg to the Mediaplay feature. There are a few problems: UI should be better, doesn't play .mkvs and streaming video has seek limitations. This model (C6300) is one below the threshold (C6500) for the latest firmware update that supports N...

So excited

Vasyl S., Newegg
2 September 2010
  • Summary: Had to get TV to find out that it supports wireless internet. That's great. But you need to buy $70 wireless USB adapter from Samasung. Would order right away if'd now.
  • Pros: Wasn't excited with techy stuff for a while. The TV is great. Picture is clear and bright. I have 1TB drive full of music, moviesand pictures. All you need to do is connect the drive to usb port of TV and it plays all of it. Support Cyrillic . Can connect computer through standard PC Input (D Sub...
  • Cons: Lots of undocumented stuff such as DivX support and option for wireless internet. I bought BlueRay player just for this. For wireless internet supports only Samsung wireless USB adapter.

24 August 2010
  • Summary: Put it in your cart now! You won't regret it. Shipping was lightening fast - I was amazed considering it came freight!
  • Pros: Perfect television - The TV itself weighs almost less than the stand it comes with! Easy to move around, mount, and SUPER SKINNY. Could not believe the price!
  • Cons: I HAVE to type something here?? No negatives.

good tv for high end

jose e., Newegg
29 July 2010
  • Summary: I kept it to eventually upgrade to using nothing but 1080p resolution(movie buff). I gave it a three because they should've kept in mind the other users that might want to get this tv, the clarity from coaxial.
  • Pros: sleek design, stylish, light, great blacks/overall picture.
  • Cons: don't buy if you are using coaxial for cable tv instead of a digital hdtv box or something of that nature(I moved from plasma and lcd to led). the picture looks like c!!p on non hd cable channels/dull and unclear, I tweaked it for awhile in the settings to no avail/ compared side by side to my lc...

Wow - surprisingly big & very light!

Anonymous, Newegg
23 July 2010
  • Pros: For the price I paid and with NO SHIPPING charges and NO TAX to NY this was an amazing deal. I almost feel guilty on how little I paid with that $200 off coupon! Shipping was disgustingly fast, professional & friendly ( AIT tc.aitworldwide.com ) I've only had the TV 2 hours now but I'm seriously ...
  • Cons: Can't afford another right now - even though it's tempting...

BAD VGA Output

chee c., Newegg
14 July 2010
  • Pros: Slim and stylist.
  • Cons: Ghosting on the VGA output from the computer with existing cable that work on other monitor or display. The Ghosting will go away if used the VGA cable that tie the pin6, 7, and 8 together then to ground. It will work well if you used the low end VGA cable come with the monitor purchase. But if y...

Borderline eleven

Gerard P., Newegg
21 May 2010
  • Summary: If you've had an LCD TV for a while and want to upgrade, this is an excellent choice. I've had nothing but good experiences with the Samsung brand. But I read the reviews. My DVD player is a Sony.
  • Pros: The picture is almost 3-D. This was an upgrade from a Samsung 720p LCD set, now relegated to the bedroom. I'm still playing around with the picture tweaking, I may update this later. Connected to an Onkyo HT-S5100 surround theater system, the only thing missing from a movie theater experience is ...
  • Cons: I thought it had PIP, but it doesn't. Not a big deal overall.
