Amazing Picture - sad sound
C. H., Amazon
10 March 2014
Summary: Everything I've ever bought from Samsung has been money well spent as far as the picture goes (thus the 4 stars) - but I am extremely disappointed by the sound quality on these models. Very tinny. You have to use external speakers in order to have decent sound. Perhaps their thinking is "everyone has external speaker systems so why bother with the sound," but all TVs should be able to stand alone.
Significant Light Bleed And Unreliable Smart Hub Apps
30 November 2013
Summary: There is very significant light bleed from the LEDs across the majority of the screen, which is easily noticeable during black or dark scenes. The picture looks great otherwise, but it's hard to ignore the bright splotches. I have also experienced lots of problems with a number of the Smart Hub apps. The Netflix app crashes pretty regularly, causing the entire TV to restart.
Summary: I just bought this about 2 weeks ago! I know it's a 2011 model but I was hooked on the design and the ample input and output options. The newer models of the same series are bulkier and they reduced the number of in/output options i.e 2011 has 4HDMI while the newer ones have 3 or 2. So, there are my main reasons I had to get the older model besides the $400 drop from when it was originally released. The set needs some adjusting on color settings.
Summary: I love this TV and I use the SMART features all the time for Netflix, HBO GO and Pandora. However, I purchased it brand new mid-2011 from an Amazon marketplace supplier for about 15% less than the current listing price (18 months later). Make sure you don't order this one, but instead, order the newer model, which is much less.
Summary: This TV has meet all of my expections for clarity and picture quality. I think because it is a smart TV(Internet Capably) you should advise that you need th other controler with the Key board on the reverse side.
Summary: lightweight led tv. perfect for mounting onto a wall. the 40 inch looks much better in a mid size bedroom rather than an open living room. After customizing the settings the tv quality become much better and the tv doesnt produce alot of heat like older model samsung lcd tvs
Summary: I purchased this in July 2012 from Amazon. First, I was amazed to receive a flatscreen in good condition by mail order. Then, I found it quite easy to set up with cable, receiver and speakers. I'm not a technical person, but I have to say that the picture quality is outstanding! Rich, bright colors. High definition makes it even better than going to the movie theaters. I don't have blu-ray; however, I can't imagine it to be much better.
Summary: I was very excited when I saw the picture quality of this TV in store. And it was on sale! Could it get much better? I thought not and bit the bullet and handed over my hard earned and left feeling pretty smug that this was the buy of the year. Sadly my euphoria was short lived. The audio is dreadful and I really do mean that. My aging iphone has better audio! ok so that might be a little exaggerated but please believe me, only a little!
Summary: Samsung delivers a great picture which is bright and clear. I purchased three of them in various sizes. The delivery process was without a problem and exactly on time. Speakers are fair to ok. Only 2 hdmi ports, but if that is all that you need, not a problem.
