Summary: The one connect box has a serious design issue that creates communication problems between the box itself and the tv. I have the 65 inch model from more than one year and, because of these issues, it takes on average about 5 minutes for the tv to turn on.
Summary: While this review doesn't directly concern the TV itself, since the TV touts "upgradability" with a new one connect box as one of its primary advantages, I think it's appropriate that I caution folks about the claimed "upgradability", especially since many (like myself) bought this TV believing said...
Summary: This unit will be a killer TV in the future but my experience is ANY source was not so good. I had it connected to DirectTv which on any other unit is superior to cable. If you watch anything other than Blu Rays, do yourself a favor and buy anything but a 4k!!!
Pros: Amazing picture with 4k source
Cons: This television is years ahead of technology, yes that's a bad thing!! According to Samsung (very helpful troubleshooting), the 4k takes the source and multiplies it by 4. What's this mean to the average buyer? 1080i is UNWATCHABLE, 1080p is shaky at best. I had an AV expert come and spend 2 hour...
Summary: Saw this TV on display at Best Buy playing actual 4K video. Looked wonderful. Asked the TV "guru" how they were playing the video. He told me it was on a USB drive. He also told me Netflix can stream 4K content.
Summary: If nothing is moving it is a great picture. Motion blur is unbelievable to me on a very expensive set like this. No matter what settings you put it on and have the latest firmware, the motion blur is pathetic and almost unwatchable.
Summary: For the first three months, things were glorious. We loved this television. Beautiful picture, so thin, etc. That being said, if you are interested in the gesture recognition or voice recognition, know that they don't work all that well and really should not be considered as a selling point.
Summary: 02/22/2014 this t.v. was purchased on 11/2013 & at the moment we are experiencing internal technical issues. the t.v. takes over 20 minutes to turn on due to what we assume is " internal technical problems" . SO we contacted geek squad and they sent a technician.
