Summary: this is my second samsung tv,purchaesed 9/2012. the picture is big and beautifu, but i admit it has features i still haven't bothered to use, including the hand gestures. My 3D glasses from my older samsung 3D TV (Samsung UN46C8000 46-Inch 1080p 3D 240 Hz LED HDTV purchased in 2010) won't work with this newer TV. The reason for only 2 starsis this TV succumbed to the complaints already voiced by other reviewers, namely,it broke by 5/2014!
Summary: Dont spend your money on this tv. Its broke 3 times during the first year. To replace it or get money back from samsung very difficult. Try another brand not samsung too many failures. Very disappointed.
Summary: The picture and features are amazing .. not so much the smart hub though. I use a pc connected and its great. The smart hub has issues because at times you will have no access to it, if samsung servers are down. (how ridiculous is that? so if someone every shuttered the hub would probably be useless). Also the netflix app is really horrible for the smart hub and the other apps are mostly uselss. Although i did get a kick out of using skype on it.
Summary: A grand piece of wall decor that completes the living room even while it is turned off. Immersive experience in its 3D entertainment, smart applications, web surfing, and HD quality for even on the air channels. Live up to its name as a Smart TV via voice commands and gesture controls! It really gives me a true sense of satisfaction!
Smart TV? Not this device. Buy a dumb TV and get a RoKu.

Summary: The user interface on this shows no imagination and is totally eclipsed by my RoKu box. When spending this much on a Smart TV, I would actually like it to be smart. This device fails that test.
Summary: I purchased the UN55ES800 after having to throw away the 46" style because of weird vertical lines. I upgraded to this one and it's only been 14 months since I purchased it and again I'm getting the same weird vertical blue lines. And to top it off it turns on and off for several minutes before it stays on. However, when I switch channels the same thing happens. I contacted customer service and they told me the warranty is only good for 12 months.
BUYER BEWARE!!! FAILURE OF BOTH MY 7000 AND 8000 SERIES SAMSUNG SMART TVS

Summary: I will NEVER buy another SAMSUNG TV again. I should have learned my lesson when my recently purchased 7000 series Samsung 3D TV failed. I thought it was an isolated incident and couldn't possibly happen again so I decided to take the plunge and buy another Samsung. This time a top-of-the-line 8000 series with all the bells and whistles. Within 3 weeks of owning, a blue line ran vertically down the right side of my screen.
