Summary: When I purchased this TV last year it took me at least a month to get used to look, feel and motion of the picture. This is of course after I used the recommended settings from AVS for picture quality. One year later I am still impressed with how sharp and solid this tv has performed. This is my second Samsung tv and my first 3d tv with Smart TV apps.
Pros: Sharp picture quality, great appsa nd features with Samsung Smart TV service
Cons: Blacks are not the best out there, learning curve
Summary: I could not be happier with this purchase. Having researched many LED TV's we settled on the 8000 model of the Samsung. The feature set on this TV is extensive - 240mhz refresh rate, 50K pixels, 3D, wireless. The set is only 1.5 in thick and has virtually no outside frame - the picture appears to be floating. As a bonus, the bundle came with a 3D blueray, 3 6ft 3d ready hdmi cables and 2 pair of 3D glasses with sound capability. The querty remote is an added plus.
Summary: I have bought 55" Smart TV in November, and almost 5 months enjoying it. Crispy clear picture" easy to navigate menu. Now I can watch my favorite shows and movies and have superior experience . I had previously 40 " LCD 2nd generation Samsung and it'isa very good TV too, but now I can see difference. Price is excellent. More I paid 5 years ago for 2nd generation TV . Very satisfied.
Summary: I was concerned a bit about reviews on screen uniformity, but it didn't bother me that much when I first turned on the set. It's been a few weeks but nothing's really bothering me. If I hadn't read the official reviews I probably wouldn't have noticed it at all. The only thing that had me worried was this huge horizontal line appearing at the bottom ofthe screen once, but this went away once the tv was warmed up. Havn't noticed anything abnormal since.
Summary: Fast delivery! Tv came in 2 days , brand new, awesome picture, very happy with Amazon, lowest price around. I checked bestbuy and pcrichards to compare prices, they didn't even have this model
Summary: This television is beautiful, both on and off. For about two years I have heard person after person complain about the dreaded "soap opera" effect from tv's with 120 or 240 fps. Having had a Sony XSRD 60 inch for the past four years, I was in no rush to get another tv, but I finally decided to go with the 55 inch UND8000, and I now kick myself I didn't do it last year. I know that some people think the tv looks "too real", but I love the realistic nature of the image.
Summary: I order the Samsung UN55D8000 and bundle after shopping around for the best deal. This is the best deal, when you combine the 3D Blue Ray Player, glasses and cords. The TV is just awesome and exceeds my expectations. Got this just the other day in time for March Madness. Don't hesitate to order the deal today.
Summary: We could not be happier with this TV if we tried. Fantastic crisp, clear picture. So good that the 2D looks 3D. Everything has new depth and superior quality over the TV we replaced. All I can say is WOW! We have played 3D movies in the Blu Ray that was part of the bundle (along with extra 3D glasses), and totally love the 3D pictures we are getting. The HDMI cables provided made for very easy set-up with the Blu Ray. Just plug and play!
Beautiful Picture, very classy design, excellent video format support

Summary: COMPARISON: I spent a long time researching LED TVs before buying the Samsung UN55D8000. The final test was a side by side comparison of a Samsung UN55D8000, an LG Infinia 55LW5600 and a Sony Bravia 55HX820. All three are 3D Edge lit LEDs, with different technologies for local dimming (controlling the light dark levels in different areas of the screen).
