Samsung 9000 series are their best units. No competition hands down!

Summary: Thanks for all the reviews! I purchased a brand new 55" C9000 for $1599 at PC Richards last night. It was their last unit. It was a no brainer at that price.I was debating on purchasing Samsung's UN65d8000. After seeing the lousy picture quality, I decided to stay with Samsung's 9000 series units. This unit has an excellent picture. Previously, I had the Samsung 55" LN55A950 which was also LED backlit. It had an amazing picture quality of 10/10 without any calibration.
Summary: We love the slim and beautiful design. The image is outstandig and 3D is very fun. I keep comparing it with others and feel our money was very well spent. I highly recommend other seekers to take the risk, and enjoy.
Summary: Awesome picture and features. Wi-Fi flaky. Easy integration with Netflix, youtube, Facebook. Simply beautiful device. If you have a wireless Blueray like the Samsung BD6900 - it goes really well.
Pros: The industrial design is world class--should be on display--museum quality really. The picture borders on the best, with only minor compromises to the finest plasma displays. From the side, the TV simply disappears in the room!!!
Cons: The viewing angle is similar to other LED/LCD's, with a somewhat narrow window of optimum viewing.
Pros: great black contrast, image is amazing, use the samsung soundbar. avatar on bluray 3d on this looks unbelievable and outstanding.
Cons: the internet@tv remains buggy, the remote looks cool too sensitive to touch, has to be charged way too much. hdmi and other controls that are in the base. prefer to have it standing rather than hanging, just for the sheer thinness of the screen.
Summary: I contemplated the un55c8000 which cost a thousand bucks less. It has a lousy remote, is a little thicker but same nice picture. I new I wouldn't be happy with the remote so I splurged for the 9000. Very nice. My 3 year old Samsung 47" lcd has been great but the pic quality doesn't even compare. There were other reviews about the side angle of viewing being bad. I went to the store to see what they were on about and I don't see the problem.
