Excerpt: Although the set is a beautiful design, I had to return it due to the fact I had no control over the way I wanted to hear and adjust the picture. Therefore I had to return it after a couple of days for a model that allowed me this freedom.
Summary: This items arrived broken, screen apparently had suffered damaged in the shipment to my home. HOWEVER, my local Walmart in Berlin Vermont cheerfully exchanged the unit with no questions asked. They did not, however, have a duplicate replacement so I had to upgrade to a larger set for $100 more. Overall, I was very happy in the smoothness of the replacement transaction.
Summary: This is just a plain old LED TV, nothing special makes it worth over $500. No internet capabilities, poor sound quality and a limited ability to extend its capabilities. I returned it after finding a Vizio for less than $100 more that has all the options and picture quality that Samsung's Smart TV's have. Samsung has a bad habit of farming out its screen production.
Summary: Keep track of your remote or you won't be able to change the Input to get to your DVD player. The only button on the TV is for the power, on or off. There is no HDMI connection for an external audio system, a definite disappointment. Too far off to one side and you lose the image and this model does not swivel. You have lots of menu options to manually adjust the picture to your liking, but I found the factory settings to be good, and the TV sound alone would be okay.
