Not power up in less than 3 years
B. Liang, Amazon
30 November 2014
Summary: It ruined it, totally, it won't power up after just less than 3 years. A few days back, it suddently power-cycled, I thought someone pressed remote power button accidently, so didn't pay attention.
Summary: Bought this set about 3 and a half years ago. About 2months ago it started developing issues. When I turned it on at times the volume would be very loud althought it was set very low. I had to turn the tv off them back on again for it to be normalised.
Summary: Before anyone picks on the fact that this is being reviewed after an extended period, I will say that I judge quality by instantaneous performance, as well as lifetime performance - and in other words I wish I had been warned ahead of time.
Summary: Solid TV, seriously one of the best pictures even years later and includes precision back lighting (some of the newer models removed this to save on costs) and has a seriously stellar contrast ratio. 4K TVs are coming into their own but for now this is still a very solid TV.
Summary: Purchased this on March 11, 2011 and was extremely satisfied. Best picture ever. Then on June 2, 2013, the screen went black. Cable box, DVD, it did not matter.....no signal. The cable box was sending a signal to the cable company. The DVD player has sound coming out of the speakers.
Summary: Amazing picture quality out of the box. However, it went into an endless power up loop today almost 17 months after purchase. Samsung warranty lasts only 12 months. That's unreasonable for such an expensive product. Will update info on the needed repairs.
Summary: I bought this tv from Nebraska Furniture Mart back in 2010. It was a super sharp tv. One of their first 3d tvs and it did great. Picture quality was amazing. It was 240hz which helped with motion blur. For years it was great. Very sharp picture and all was grand for a while.
Summary: Ive had it for a year now and still think Ive gotten a heck of a deal. I have not had a chance to use the 3D part of it. As I am too lazy to buy the glasses. I love the swivel. I love the picture. I use it all the time and does not put off heat like my old plasma TV.
