No Screen just sound since last month
11 April 2014
Summary: I used to big fan of samsung led tv I have two in my house UNC46700 and UNC468000 series. My 46" 7000 series just died on me two weeks ago. When I turned it on, it has no screen and only sound. This is due to the cheap capacitor that Samsung used. They had already settled the old lawsuit for the older model (check out link below). But since this is the newer model, they haven't got sued for this one yet.
Summary: I actually bought this TV at Best buy. The first one of this model, the TV had developed this bright light near the power button and had a horizontal "pillaring" line effect going down the screen. I returned that one since it was within the 2 week return period. I received the replacement one and the SAME THING started happening. Only it was on the top right side with the aforementioned "pillaring" effect.
Summary: I just purchased this TV, and it had problems right out of the box. Right side of the screen has red dots that move in randoms directions. I called Samsung warranty and created a service request. A week later I got a call from service center that was 90 miles away. They were trying to diagnose problem over the phone because they couldn't send a tech to check it out because it's "too far away".
Summary: The deal offered sounds so good, and sold on Amazon would indicate that it couldn't go wrong. I was very mistaken. Since receiving delivery in December, I have not had one complete day of satisfactory TV viewing. Because I live in a very small apt, I had no place to store the box so had to get rid of it. I therefore called Samsung directly. After seven (7) calls to service techs, I was set up with an at home service call.
Summary: Samsung is a low life company for not sending my free 3D promotion bundle that was advertised on their website with no vendor restrictions. Now Samsung says being I bought my 3D TV on E-Bay the free 3D promotion does not apply now I have a Sansung 3D TV that I can't watch in 3D. I turned Samsung in to the NJ better business association for unfair business pratices. Thank You, Walter T.
Summary: The severe backlight bleed from the new line of Samsung LED tvs is unacceptable. Do a search for backlight bleed or flashlighting with the new samsungs. Very common and after noticing it, it's all I see. I'm going to return it...it's a great tv otherwise, but this is a deal breaker. I honestly can't believe they would try to sell something with such a huge flaw. I've lost faith in Samsung and this will be the last product I buy with their name on it.
Summary: Hello Amazonauts, I bought UE46C7000 TV here in Portugal. Here's my thoughts: The TV has glare levels above what I had imagined in LED TV's (and they were not visible on the store, 'cos of ambient light; see ahead); also, there must be 4 lamps, one on each corner, and on darker scenes with no ambient light in the room the display shows some sort of cone lights directed to the centre of the display. Disappointing, although not the reason to reject this TV.
