Great TV - Bad Long Term Support - No Amazon Instant Video
5 September 2013
Summary: This TV has an excellent picture, and I/O options. It doesn't have that silly fanout cable Samsung put into later models for the component/composite inputs. On that note, you should probably upgrade your stuff to HDMI-capable devices anyway. Just sayin... I am most disappointed by Samsung's planned obsolescence of their products where you no longer receive firmware updates/upgrades on the device after a couple of years.
Summary: I bought mine last March 22, 2011. It was great at first as it was my first led tv. Came june 9, 2011. I started seeing vertical thin lines while watching on it. It made a flickering thin lines in the middle of the tv while i was on netflix. I tried on cable and xbox -- the thin lines were still there. So i called samsung, and they were pretty helpfulmand set me up with a tv tech right away who came in my house within 2 days.
Great overall, but has its issues with backlight bleeding, flashlighting, and clouding.

Summary: The GOOD: Appearance: This TV has a sleek appearance; easily better design than its higher tier counterparts ala C7000 and C8000. The chrome grey is a nice touch. However the bezel design reminds me too much of the Cylon ships from Battlestar Galactica. Picture Quality: I came from an LG 47sl80 which is a regular LCD and I didn't notice a significant jump in picture quality overall. However, all told, the PQ is very good and the colors do pop vividly on this set.
Summary: Do buy this TV if you want a brilliant image but don't buy it if you want to use it to connect to the internet. My main use for the internet is for Netflix; the problem with Netflix is that the number of movies available on line for "instant viewing" is very limited and then most of the time I get "This movie is currently not available for instant viewing - try again later" or "Can't connect to the internet". So I have given up on watching Netflix through the TV.
Lightweight, Cool iPhone App, but has huge flash lighting issues!

Summary: I received this tv a few weeks ago and have been putting it through it's paces, here is what I have found. Image quality Durting the day and with a decent amount of ambient light the image looks good, however at night with no lights on I can see tons of brighter areas on the screen. From what I have found this is known as flashlighting. The corners are really noticeable and various parts of the screen.
Pros: Very slim, handsome design. Picture remarkable, especially baseball!
Cons: Have called Samsung tech support numerous times, friendly but inconsistent and ultimately (as of now) unable to provide solution. I purchased wireless dongle ($79/BestBuy) to access widgets and Internet@TV features.
