Beware of the power supply boards
Serge Kavetsky "Mr. Fix-it", Amazon

Summary: The Achilles heal of LCD series of this television was the power supply board. It only lasted for one-two years before it would have to be replaced. Replacement boards are now hard to find, because this was such a big problem. Samsung chose to look the other way in the hops that people would just buy a newer model. Hopefully the LED sets have a different power board.
Green LINES!!!!!! exchanged 3 times!!!!! I hate this TV
8 March 2011
Summary: Length:: 0:04 Mins when watching movies or Cable I see these green lines that keep popping up when watching wide screen movies, it does it on both Direct TV and PS3 I even switched out my HDMI cables for new ones, same problem, so I took the TV back and got a brand new one again and same problem took it back to a different location and same problem again, had Samsung Send me out a Tech to fix it and he didn't even know what to do, he said he never seen anything like it,...
Summary: if you turn on the Auto clear motion to smooth so it dosen't look blurry, you see those greens lines that flash on the bottom, I think it needs a Firmware update. but when you turn the setting to Standard on the auto motion setting it dosen't do it, they need to update the firmware, seems when the picture is moving really fast the TV can't keep up so you see flashing green lines.
Summary: I bought this item from another store. I was excited in this latest generation LED-edgelit TVs, so thin, and such good clarity. Within 2 months of ownership, with average of 30mins of viewing per day (some days longer, some days of no watching), the TV would occasionally turn off and within seconds, turn back on. My son, who would be watching e.g. alone would call out saying TV turned off, and then reassure it is back on.
Summary: I don't know if I got a TV with a faulty panel or not but I was seeing issues with extreme ghosting and smearing on images. Which was especially prevalent when watching any animated series. I'm usually not a picky guy but my wife started noticing it on everything too and the more we noticed it the more annoying it was. I tried every setting on the TV to get it to go away to no avail. I contacted Samsung tech support which was okay I guess.
