Excellent, except for PVR functionality for FreeSat HD when used with a USB disk (250GB SSD)

Summary: Excellent looking TV. Most of it is extremely easy to use, much better than my old Sony. Netflix and iPlayer load super fast compared to the Tivo box I'm retiring. Reading the Specs, it looked like I would be able to hook it up to Freesat HD and a USB hard drive and the TV would do all the PVR functionality. True, it does but the functionality is basic at best. For instance, I assumed you would be able to pause live TV - doesn't work for me.
Summary: I bought this TV for two reasons; firstly I needed a 40" rather then a 42" to fit the furniture it is sitting on but more importantly because of its smart capability. Samsung currently offer the best smart capability of all brands. This TV not only has all four catch up services (iPlayer, ITV Player, 4OD and 5) but it also has Netflix and Amazon Instant video built in.
Summary: The picture may be stunning, but it's offputting to have someone speak and then their lips start moving later. We also sometimes found a shimmering effect on peoples faces and when the credits come up at the end of a programme, these don't rise up smoothly, but in a series of very rapid jumps - very offputting and makes them difficult to read. Odd, as this TV has a high refresh rate accoring to Samung.
Summary: Very pleased with this tv easy to use picture quality excellent. useful to have internet tv on all channels as sony tv don't have every channel available. only down side is the stand goes straight across the bottom therefore you can't turn the tv to any position. 3D is excellent they even supply the glasses.
Samsung makes great TV's that are best in their class

Summary: Samsung makes great TV's that surpass every other manufacturer in their class. I have two Samsung's in my house and I can tell you the image is beautiful. This TV has an LED screen and in my opinion this the way to go (LED is similar to LCD its back-lit better so that they are no dark spots on the screen). Now add in that this TV can directly connect to the internet and I'm sold. TV's of this class have never been cheaper.
Summary: This is not really a review of the tv or the seller. Just note that the 40'' model is not the same as the bigger ones. 1) The 40" doesn't have a built in subwoofer 2) The 40" set has a 600 Hz instead of 800 Hz clear motion rate 3) The 40" does not have the Ultra Clear Panel
