Very impressed with the Samsung 40-inch Smart LED TV
3 weeks ago
Summary: The setup procedure is fairly straight forward. After you switch it on, you are led through a series of setup pages. Of course you need to get your WiFi router info to hand if connecting wirelessly to the internet .. and after that you can continue to using the tv, but I opted to download the first day software update that took 30 mins and a reboot before I watched my first Freeview HD channel. Two remotes are supplied ..
Summary: I live in a building with lift, and the delivery driver was going to leave my tv in our reception. asked me to carry it to my own apartment. but i refused of course, then he carried it to my door. delivery aside, the quality of the TV is fantastic. and this is the best value for the price!
Summary: I recently purchased the 40 inch variant of this TV (June 2013) and was initially very impressed. However, when I hooked up my PS3 via HDMI to test out a few Blu-Rays I noticed the audio 'skipping' for a split-second every few minutes or so. The issue was also present when playing games. Worried, I connected my Xbox 360 (also using HDMI) and booted up Forza 4.
Summary: The picture quality is fantastic. The difference between good old HDMI ready and the fully capable Smart TV is amazing. I have yet to try 3D as the on-line taster doesn't want to show and my Sky subscription doesn't seem to cover many 3D programmes on the one and only 3D channel. The catch-up TV services are handy but you need a far better internet access speed than mine to take advantage of it.
Summary: Arrived within 48 hours (good old Amazon). The set is superb and the packing is excellent. The setup for this TV is simplicity itself. I can't wait to use the touch pad and remote (I must get a life).
Summary: I've always wanted a good TV - I bought this after searching round for absolute ages, and not only is it good ... it's brilliant!! The picture is crisp, stupidly smooth, and it actually makes you wonder if you're on the film set of some films! First thing I watched on it was Avatar in 3D - then I watched it again straight away! I couldn't believe how good it was for the price! I also got the Samsung HT-F5530 5.1 System to go with it, and it's like a match made in heaven!
Disapointed in the build quality, faulty internal power supply

Summary: I am having to return my 40 inch model of this TV as it has developed a fault after a week of use. The TV doesn't always power back up from standby and makes lots of clicking noises and the red light flashes and tries to power on and then turns off again. This cycle repeats til it eventually turns on. It is getting progressively worse over time. The longer it has been on standby the less likely it is to resume it seems.
Summary: Could not be happier. The picture quality is excellent (esp HD channels), the sound is very good for this kind of TV. The SMART HUB is easy to use and works a treat. If you're a big user of I-PLAYER (and who wouldn't be, the commercial channels are trash), you'll love this, no more Laptop, no more faffing about with a cable from Desktop to TV etc, no more watching on a tiny tablet. Mark your fav programs on the IP app on SH, and they're all stacked waiting for you.
