Well Pleased w/ This Purchase!!!
13 August 2014
Summary: This is a great TV w/awesome picture & sound quality (Ideal For GAMING AS WELL). Despite having the mother board replaced 3 separate times due to what I kept telling Samsung was a power source issue this TV has lived up to its potential & is now sitting pretty on its new wall mount in which I also bought from Amazon (The omnimount OC8OFM!). Samsung was Great too with there willingness to help me get a fix for this unit even when it fell out of warranty.
Summary: I've bought my last 4 Samsung flat screens from Amazon and the never disappoint. I really wasn't in the market since I just got a 40" 120Hz TV a couple summers ago and was very pleased with it. Unfortunately my mounting bracket pulled out of the cheap sheet rock in my house, and that TV was destroyed. This was bought as a replacement. First let me touch on the 3D stuff. I've only toyed with it a bit and I think it's little more than a gimmick.
Summary: The TV is great. The picture is beautiful and normal sound quality for a plat panel TV. The remote takes a lot of time getting used to. If you are ordering a separate sound bar, carefully review use of the use of the separate remote. Very confusing.
Summary: Nice solid TV...light weight, looks great on the wall and impressed with picture clarity however the processor speed is slow and wifi keeps dropping connection which is frustrating. I even added a wifi extender and it helped a bit but not much. Please note that you do need some sort of sound bar with this tv as the speakers are very poor. Crutchfield is great to work with on these purchases.
Pros: Overall looks, picture and clarity. Nice a thin with small betzel
Cons: Poor internet connection. Streaming video is slow. Blacks could be blacker at this level of tv
Summary: The color and definition on this TV are amazing but every once in a while images on the screen, like people for example, will start shaking wildly like they are having trouble staying in this dimension. And sometimes you get that Soap Opera look which I've heard is associated with LED TV's. We like watching 3D movies in combination with our Samsung 3D blu ray DVD player and the glasses work well but they don't want to turn off very easily.
