Samsung F6400 Series Smart TV failed three times (so far) with exact same symptoms

Summary: I bought the UN40F6400 Smart TV from Amazon on 8/21/13. I would really like to love this TV, but I suspect the designers cut corners on the components used to build this TV resulting in very poor reliability. I base this opinion on 40 years in the aerospace industry as a reliability engineer with 3 degrees in electronic engineering design. I had this TV for only six weeks when it started cycling on and off repeatedly.
I have enjoyed the picture quality and features of this tv

Summary: Although, I have enjoyed the picture quality and features of this tv, after only owning it for 5 months, it has developed an issue. I have not yet researched the problem yet, but the tv turns itself off and on randomly. I have even removed the batteries, and it still turns off and on. Once it starts, it does it every 2 - 5 seconds. Usually, it turns off, brings up the Smart screen, and back off again, sometimes doing this 10 - 20 times in a row.
Summary: This is a great TV w/awesome picture & sound quality (Ideal For GAMING AS WELL). Despite having the mother board replaced 3 separate times due to what I kept telling Samsung was a power source issue this TV has lived up to its potential & is now sitting pretty on its new wall mount in which I also bought from Amazon (The omnimount OC8OFM!). Samsung was Great too with there willingness to help me get a fix for this unit even when it fell out of warranty.
Summary: Great TV with lots of features, i.e. 3D, Fulll screen web browser, - no pc needed. Yes you can get a 40 inch TV for less, but if you want top of the line performance with the latest features, put this TV at the top of your list.
Summary: Excellent TV, it is worth the few extra bucks! Also, Crutchfield is the place to buy your electronic products. The only thing is that I am having trouble getting used to the scratch pad controller.
Summary: We didn't like the TV much from the start but we kept it to avoid the return hassle. Slow, often it would freeze, or would show random errors and we would have to go back and start again to reboot the applications. We have had the TV for less than a year and now it will turn off and on randomly, and will alway stop (sometimes) after unplug in for several minutes. We contacted Samsung customer service and they said it has a 12 months guarantee.
Summary: This is a great television with all the features you can imagine: wi-fi, 4 hdmi inputs, usb inputs, samsung all share, super picture, adjustments galore. I used the tv as my computer monitor and it performs that task flawlessly. If you are looking a great all-around tv he can't miss with this Samsung.
Summary: My order was quickly delivered and was in good condition, but unfortunately the set had some issues. After only a few hours of use, it began power cycling rendering the TV unwatchable. I contacted Crutchfield customer service and they were great, shipping out a replacement. The replacement arrived when promised and although it didn't have the same issue, whenever I have it connected to my network (wired or wireless) it would occasionally reset itself when I went to use...
Pros: Great picture, nice looking TV and lots of inputs.
Cons: Unusable network features, poor quality of assistance from Samsung and poor quality firmware. Sound quality is not great, but works for the intended purpose (home office).
Summary: I've bought my last 4 Samsung flat screens from Amazon and the never disappoint. I really wasn't in the market since I just got a 40" 120Hz TV a couple summers ago and was very pleased with it. Unfortunately my mounting bracket pulled out of the cheap sheet rock in my house, and that TV was destroyed. This was bought as a replacement. First let me touch on the 3D stuff. I've only toyed with it a bit and I think it's little more than a gimmick.
