Summary: you can't go wrong with this tv if 40" is what you want..... none of these flat screens have theatre sound..... so don't expect it and you won't complain... if you want to blow your neighbors out.. get a 1000W RMS amp and some tower stacks.... This tv is a big hit at the nursing home... I got this for my mom, my dad loves it. it's easy enough for them to use it... and the picture is outstanding... I have 4 other tvs... 47", 55" 60" and 70".... these are all great sets..

Summary: I hooked it up to my DVD/VCR player with no trouble, plugged it in, turned it on, and I had sound and picture. Easiest electronic piece of equipment I have ever put together. Only problem was locating the manual buttons on the bottom of the TV. A clerk at Walmart actually showed me where they were.
Summary: The TV is everything everyone says it is, and in fact, all the reviewers' ratings are what convinced me to buy this, ultimately. However, I will never again buy through Walmart.com and have something shipped to my home. I paid up for the 3-5 day shipping. On day 9, I received a call from a shipping affair called Seko to set up my delivery, the next possible one being two days later and requiring me to be home before four o'clock for the required signature.
Summary: I've only had this tv for about 2 weeks, so I can't say much for the longevity of it, but so far, I am very happy! It's a nice looking tv with great picture and sound. It was a little bit of a hassle getting new cables as I went from having 4 A/V ports to just 1, so I had to switch over to HDMI cables, but obviously not that hard to do. Overall, very happy. Hopefully it lasts a few years!
