Excerpt: As a decorative and technological tour de force, and a way of getting absolutely as large a screen as possible into a tight-ish space, the Samsung D7000 series is unbeatable. This is the smaller D7000 variant – we’ve previously mightily enjoyed the 46in version– and yet the brevity of its bezel is no less impressive.
Pros: Minimal depth, minimal bezel, great spec, richly detailed, stable and absorbing images
Excerpt: With design currently riding high on the list of reasons people choose a particular TV, it's no surprise that Samsung's 2011 range of TVs appear to be selling so well again this year. For they consistently benefit from a combination of aesthetic flare and excellent build quality that no other brand can currently match.
Pros: Gorgeous, space-saving design, Good 3D and excellent 2D picture quality
Cons: Slight crosstalk noise with bright 3D footage
Excerpt: Like its UE55D8000 sibling reviewed previously, the UE40D7000 is a mighty stylish TV, with a bezel that’s so slender (barely a centimetre) that it’s barely there at all. Moreover, the slimness is emphasised by the fact that most of the frame is transparent. The design is perhaps not quite as opulent as that of the D8000 series, with its more metallic finish, but many people might prefer the D7000’s more subtle approach.
Pros: Smart Naviga, Clear Motion Rate 800 Hz, Smart 3D, Smart Design, Wireless LAN integrata, 3D HyperReal Engine
