Summary: Awesome TV! I have never seen a better picture or more features on a tv then this one. Absolutely amazing. I just wish they would have Netflix as a App on the tv. After installing the evolution kit the Netflix app dissappeared and I cant redownload it. The price was very high but this seller was the lowest of all at the time. I am extremely pleased with my purchase and I am now looking for 55" for my bedroom.
Summary: I am not a techno-file, but I know excellence when I encounter it. And this TV is absolutely EXCELLENT. Razor thin, it delivers a crisp, clear 3-D image (in contrast to 3-D movies in theaters, with relatively poor resolution). When purchasing this TV, I had anticipated using it for only my library of 3-D movies, but it's a great for watching everyday programming. Glasses also are top-notch: light weight with no ill effects (i.e., no headaches).
Summary: First some background info: Like many people, I struggled to decide between LED and Plasma. Plusses and minuses to both, and everyone with their own opinion on which is best. My previous TV was a Samsung LCD, so that’s all I knew. Because of my very positive experience with that TV, I wanted another Samsung, and I wanted the biggest TV possible that would fit my entertainment center. That gave me a choice between the PN60F8500 (plasma) and the UN65F8000 (LED).
Summary: It is the best TV I've seen. It is so thin, I thought it must not have any speakers...but it does. The picture is remarkable. I haven't got comfortable with the remotes. Can't get it sync'd with my comcast box.
Summary: Arguably the best LCD/LED tv set available today! Does more things than I've been able to check so far, but everything I've used has been as advertised, or better. Very happy I bought it. Would highly recommend it.
Pros: Very good picture. Great black levels. Excellent online capability. Easy to set up and operate. More features and apps than any rational human being could ever want.
Cons: Even though the picture is superb, it's not perfect. Like other LED-illuminated liquid-crystal sets I've seen, it's almost impossible to achieve truly accurate flesh tones. Many (but not all) faces look like they've been enhanced with a layer of tan-brown-ish make-up. No combination of adjustments I've tried fully corrects this issue on either this set or another LED/LCD set that I own.
