Summary: When you look at it, isn't the goal of buying a new TV picture quality. Well, the Samsung doesn't fail in that category. Probably the best picture I've seen anywhere. I wish I could say the same for the balance of the features.
Summary: I bought this tv about a month and a half ago. My experience so far has been very positive. Setup was easy and fairly straight-forward. The instructions are very clear about how to connect everything for most setups.
Summary: Fantastic tv.Very Easy to hook up the tv to the stand.I connected my ps3 and it works great with it. Certain menu options are difficult to reach but once you get used to the remote, this is not an issue. I felt like watching in Movie mode made picture too dim for my interest.
Summary: The first TV I received was defective. When I first plugged it in, it continuously and repeatedly turned itself on and off and the setup screen did not appear. I phoned Samsung support and they concluded the problem was with the power cord or power supply and offered to send out a technician.
Summary: I had been admiring the new Samsung LED TVs for some time and, when the old TV in our bedroom got struck by lightening, I took advantage of Amazon's great bundle deal and bought this 40" 3D set along with the 36 Blueray DVD player and two pairs of 3D glasses.
Summary: Picture quality is superb. 3D via bluray or directv looks very good. Mounted on the wall with the monoprice knockoff of the samsung mount ($12.95 instead of $150!) so it hangs on a wire like a picture frame at about a half inch from the wall. Very sleek addition to our bedroom.
Summary: Comparing to panasonic plasma 3d, which has virtually no ghosting, may have been another viable option, but sacrifice the low led wattage and heat produced. 4/5 stars mainly due to 3d ghosting, otherwise, excellent.
Pros: Thin, light weight. Excellent quality picture. 4 hdmi and optical digital output. I've hooked up 3d bluray player, xbox, DirectTV, ps3 and pc to this thing. I have a kenwood av unit that puts out sound for all devices on one setting, except for pc, since it has separate audio out from it's dvi-hd...
Cons: 3d has too much ghosting, though ps3 games, wipeout 3d and pacific rift demo 3d is awesome, you can sometimes get distracted by the ghosting. monster vs alien, and cloudy with a chance of meatball, are the only 3d blu-ray available, so you'll have to wait for everything else to come out. The 2d-3...
