Summary: Bought a "Refurbed" unit because I have always have had pretty good luck with them. This time, not so much. The TV came in with a dented in back and the speakers of the TV, when cranked up, started to distort at 30%. My analysis of this unit is that it was a used TV, returned to Walmart, powered up by some warehouse people and resent out as Refurbed.
Summary: This set has a BEAUTIFUL picture but there is a but. IT HAS NO AUDIO OUTPUT FOR SURROUND SOUND.The sound is marginal at best, when you turn the volume up Samsung purposely distorts the base for a movie effect. I called customer service and they had me run a sound check built in to the set. Everything checked out ok, this is just what the set does. They then blamed my blu-ray player, what a joke. It sounds terrible.
Summary: I returned the TV just 1 day after I got it. I watched a DVD and the image wsd close to excellent. Then I watched a soccer game and that's when I got sooo disappointed. The ball if kicked hard, seemed to freeze and disappear for an instant, very frustating, even the players when running gad the same effect. If you want it just for regular shows and movies it's Ok but for sports I would not recommend this TV.
Summary: Hi - I bought a similar TV 4 years ago (Samsung 55in. 720p). It was great but in the last year, the TV has started to rapid change channels without anyone touching the remote. Once it starts to change channels, unplugging the TB is the only way to stop it. Checked online (google "samsung tv changing channels by itself") and there seems to be a design problem with TV. Samsung will only fix if within the first year. Otherwise they won't help. Buy at own risk.
