Summary: After owning this tv for 2 years I am coming to hate it. The TV will turn off at random times and then turn back on. The gui menu system for apps is really badly designed. It takes forever for any of the apps to start up like Netflix or any others. The sound quality is poor.
Excellent for hearing loss, or technology impaired!

Summary: This TV is superb. I have a customer with hearing loss so I purchased this TV for her. The set up was simple, on screen guide, step by step, and you perform a hearing test for the audible vs. inaudible frequencies.

Summary: I purchased mine from best buy. If you can get a great deal, go ahead, but with the new technologies i would try to get a 4k TV. This tv does not handle compressed cable channels very good. ESPN and TNT sports look awesome, but every other channel does not process very well.
Summary: Mine died 2 months out of warranty. Samsung did agree to repair for free, parts and labor. Motherboard was replaced. Very Good image, poor sound, useless browser while it works. I own another Samsung 5 series and no problems so far even though this one is 5 year older than 7100 discussed here.
Summary: Great TV. Super quality of image. Sound is OK but normally you connect this through a home stereo system. Access to online apps is great and easy. Remote could be easier to perform some tasks.

Summary: Great picture, but mine developed a blue line down the screen after 6 months. Returned it with no problems. Ended up with a Sony, but IMO the Samsung has slightly better pic quality. Sony has better sounds and overall features.
