Summary: Considering that the new-fandangle techie features on the 8000 work barely 50-60 percent of the time and the remote is cumbersome to use, save hundreds of dollars and get the E7000 series or E6500 series instead. The 7000 is exactly the same as the 8000 except for the voice and motion activation, including PQ that is nearly identical.
Summary: Great quality picture - Samsung plasmas are some of the best on the market. However the talk and gesture controls are clunky, they kind of work, but I was hoping they would work much better. You need to have a very bright room for the gestures to work.
Summary: Excellent lightweight plasma with good picture quality. Love the selection of apps. Voice control and hand cam control are clunky to use. Tv has a slight electrical hum which is not unusual for plasmas, but louder than I expected for a tv at this price.
Pros: Attractive Design, Fast Setup, Good Remote Control, Good Resolution, Great Picture Quality
Summary: My dad has the same model but from two years ago, and this is such a great tv. I see now why Apple uses Samsung for their retina displays - it's a just a great picture. The 3D is the best I've ever seen. The app store is turning into more fun that I thought it would be (I thought it'd be gimmicky). Google Maps, Netflix, Twitter, etc are all what you'd want and expect.
