Pretty good TV overall; WORST Customer Service!

Summary: I've been a long-time fan of Samsung products. I've owned LCD, LCD-LED and Plasma models, and I've enjoyed the picture best on their plasma displays. That said, I made the mistake of purchasing two Samsung D-Series plasma TVs.
Pros: Excellent black levels at first; rich, colorful picture. Easy to calibrate. Screen uniformity was near flawless. Great picture for daytime use.
Cons: Too expensive for even Samsung to justify the repairs. D-Series panels only manufactured for one year; burn-in easy. Anti-reflective material peels from corners. Buzzing is audible even from distances greater than ten feet. Inside panel may crack.
Summary: Paid way too much to be having problems with the auto-brightness. Even with the ECO mode turned off the black areas of a picture change brightness back and forth.
Pros: Very nice picture when there is not problems with the brightness.
Cons: My older Philips Plasma has less problems then this one. Out of the box the original screen had a large black line in the middle. It took two weeks to get the screen replaced. Now I am having issues with the brightness controls.
