Excellent Picture Quality, Especially For The Price.

Summary: After reading review after review, I finally settled on this one because of the ideal combination of picture quality, screen size, and price. I'm happy to say that I'm very happy with the purchase so far (it's been 3 months). The one thing the jury is out on is reliability. My Sony LCD crapped out after 18 months, and I went through a customer service nightmare - which from reading owner forums seems like a common theme.
Summary: I bought this TV around Christmas after buying 2 other big screen tvs that I didn't like. The TV is great. All but the buzzing. I can hear it everywhere in the room with the mute on and over the audio. I'm not sure if kiddy cornering is amplifing the buzz or not but depending where I stand in the room, the buzz is louder or softer and I mean at least 12' feet away. Perhaps it bothers me because it can be heard from a distance and it's a high.
Summary: First one came with cracked screen -- via Pilot Delivery (only 1 guy) -- refused delivery Second one is good via Home Direct (2 guys carry it in) ===> Make sure the shipper open and check the TV before accept delivery Amazon quickly sent out a replacement, no question asked. No buzz Fantastic picture as expected , still in break in period, trying to get use to the 58 inch size, (replaced a 42" Plasma) shipped with FW 1032 (latest) Lot of info on AVSFORUM, calibration...
Summary: We got this TV couple days ago. When we got it we let it sit for 4 hours before turning it on giving it time to warm up to room temperature since it was in the 30s. Turned it on and first thing I did was look for the buzzing sound. Didn't find any and could only hear it if I touched my ear against the back of the tv. So was very happy. Picture looked great, but the samsung warranty information that came with the tv repeatedly warned that the IR is not covered.
Summary: I am not one to normally write reviews, however i felt compelled to write this review since there is not much first hand information outside of CNET on the PNC7000. I am sort of a video file and have been do homework on my new TV upgrade for almost a year. I currently had a Samsung 40" LCD which i loved. The picture was amazing and i never had any ghosting, motion blur, or image problems whatsoever. I did need however a larger screen size, 58".
Summary: After doing a lot of research on 2010 model year TVs in the larger than 50 inch I settled on this Samsung. Its not perfect but it has a very good picture and all of the bells and whistles you can get on a TV this year. It is 3d ready but it doesn't come with any glasses which are rather pricey. It is a better value than any of the Panasonic plasma TVs and really a value over the LCD/LED TVs near this size. It does not buzz as some Samsung plasmas in the past.
