I love the TV, but it's going back because of a red band....

Summary: I received the TV, shipping and delivery was flawless. Opened the box, powered it up and everything works perfectly.....except a 1" wide red band that appears on scenes where the background is tan, beige, light green. I had seen some previous reviews online indicating this was a concern with this model, but I figured it was an isolated issue. Unfortunately, I received one of these defective units. I am dreading the warranty procedure...
Not nearly as good as the mainstream reviewers say

Summary: UPDATE: After owning this TV for six months, I've reduced my rating for these reasons: * The TV is getting brightness banding. * The latest Netflix app is flakey. Samsung technical support refers you to the Samsung PR department when you ask about an obvious software bug, which is mildly insulting. * Samsung overcharged my credit card $7 when I registered for their app store. It is a small amount, but it kills goodwill, especially when I didn't buy anything.
